Ayato kirishima x CCG! reader part 1

You tried to stay awake, all your paper work was scattered across your desk. Shinohara gave you a worried look " Y/n you should go home, you've been working yourself off the entire day. " you shook your head and waved him off " don't worry about me. I'm fine just a little tired." Your eyes began drooping again and you found it difficult o stay awake. Shinohara was like a father to you, after all he was the one that got you your job.

You used to live in the streets and despite the fact that you'd stolen money from Shinohara when you first met, he still helped you. " go home, that's an order" he smiled lightly at you but still had that worried look in his eyes. You tried protesting but he kept saying that it was an order. You sighed and stood up from your chair " goodnight" he waved at you and muttered a goodnight while you tiredly made your way home.

You decided to walk home since no taxis were to be seen. You heard rattling noises behind you, however due to your tiredness you just waved it off  as a rat or dog. The rattling could be heard again but you simply kept on walking. The rattling could be heard once more however this time you could also hear a scream. You jumped slightly, with widened eyes. You were definitely awake now.

You clutched your suitcase close and quietly made your way to the source of the noise. If you were right than what you'd find would be a g- " help! Help! Please!" You quickened your pace, yep it was a ghoul it had to be. You opened your suitcase and took your quinque.

Your quinque was  a death scythe, similar to Juuzou's however yours was different. It was a new model they'd been testing out, a quinque with similar powers than those of a certain ghoul you'd been investigating due to this you could fire crystal like bullets . You turned in an alleyway and gasped at what you saw, you were far too late, whatever it was that had been eating had left nothing but bones. You clenched your fist, cursing under your breath until you were kicked from behind.

You gasped and collided with the ground only to turnaround and see a certain ghoul you'd been investigating. However unlike the other times you'd met he wasn't wearing his mask. He had a grin plastered across his face while you tightly clutched your quinque. " we meet again....." "Y/n, Y/n L/n" he nodded " ah, I see. Well I'm Ayato, are you ready to die by the hands of one of the many victims from your kind?"

You chuckled "I won't be the one dying"  you shot the crystal shards at him making him growl "how'd you do that? " you shrugged " I have my ways" out of anger he flew towards you and held your neck.  You gasped for air making him grin " that's my kagune and mine only, you hear me you CCG piece of s-" He saw the look on your face and froze. You.....you were smiling at him. " nani?" He furrowed his brows in confusion while you remained there, breathless and smiling. His grip on your throat tightened however the smile on your face never faded. " why aren't you afraid?" " be afraid, damnit!"

He tightened his grip on your neck, while your vision began blurring however the smile never faded. Ayato let go of you and tugged at his hair " stop it! Stop it!" He fell to the ground and crawled back " why are you smiling at me?" You approached the blue haired ghoul and smiled once more " because I pity you, no matter how much satisfaction you get from killing there'll always be an empty void that you can't fill and as time goes by that void will grow until you feel nothing but loneliness and sorrow"

You turned on your heel, walking away until the blue haired ghoul spoke once more " aren't you gonna kill me?" You  stopped in your tracks and grinned " I pity you, remember?" You grabbed your quinque from the ground and slowly walked away leaving the blue orbed ghoul dumbfounded . Rain began pouring making you look up at the night sky and chuckle. " I've grown soft, haven't I?"

Ayato made his way home while cursing under his breath " damn human! Acting as if she's superior with her breathtaking e/c eyes and her beautiful h/c hair!" He stopped dead in his tracks, a light blush tinting his cheeks " what's wrong with me, damnit? I couldn't have possibly fallen for a stupid human, could I? ... Of course not! What's wrong with me?!"he tsks under his breath and continues his way home. The thought of you never leaving the blue haired ghoul's mind.
