There were three girls, no older than 25 years of age but no younger than 19, standing before the great door. The alley was dark behind them, and in the silence of the alley, they could hear nearby footprints. Adrieve, the eldest with blonde hair and blue eyes, tugged at the door handle, and upon pulling her hand back, she noticed a burn where she'd gripped the handle. Gripping her injured hand, she slumped into the alley wall. When Ryland, the redheaded, green-eyed girl stepped forward, she pounded her fists on the door, but got no success. Being allowed to try, the youngest of the three, their most timid companion named Tilli, she stepped forward, carefully reaching out towards the door, only to stop halfway and pull her hand back again.

"You must make a wish first," a voice said. Startled, the girls found a man in a tuxedo, top hat, and a malicious grin watching them, only grinning wider. "Well, my dears, have any wishes?"

"We don't have time for this! They'll be here any moment!" Adrieve said, glancing anxiously behind her.

"Who will, child?" the man said, studying the alley behind her.

"The group tailing us! The mob'll get us if we don't get in! Please, let us in!" Ryland said, hands raw from pounding on the door. In response, he only hummed, studying Ryland intently.

It was Tillie who as more calm than her companions. "Please, Sir, we wish to enter, so we may be safe," Tilli said, curtseying. "Please, we only need to stay for the night. We won't be a bother, I promise."

To this, the man responded by bowing with an amused grin. "Then I welcome you to the Wolf's Den."

As the huge doors opened, he stepped aside. When all were inside, Tilli entering with trepidation, he closed the doors behind them, sealing their fate.
