Being pushed into the room, Adrieve found her back to Mr. Wolfe's chest and, for a moment, his arms around her waist, but before too long, he was gone, as were her sisters. Hansel and Gretel were in their place, and with a gulp, she kept her distance from them, the door broken off its hinges and the hat rack fallen over, this time to the floor. "I don't... I didn't mean to, uh, I'm not really good at---"

"We know you aren't a nice person, and being nice to strangers is not a habit of yours. We're here to talk about something else," Gretel said.

        "About... What?"

"Sit down and don't talk," Hansel said, which she obeyed without question.

"You are the monster in this labyrinth," Gretel said.

        "And we don't like you."

"When you met us the last we saw you, you barged in and left us without being a graceful guest. That's not alright in our code of ethics," Gretel said.

"You don't deserve to be happy, you don't deserve your siblings. You deserve to suffer for your evil," Hansel said.

"What? Am I on trial now?"

        "Yes."

        "For what?"

"The murder of Mr. Catly, the damage to stories that didn't deserve it. For letting your sisters get taken from you. You're a damaged good and you have the right to be silent."

"It was self defense, eaten or not eaten, with Mr. Catly, so he had to die." Frowning slightly, Adrieve sat straight, shaking her head warily. "I just wanted to have fun, how the hell was I supposed to know it would alter people in their own stories?"

"You were almost forced to marry Prince Charn, that or murdered by him, all while Mr. Wolfe played good cop cop and bad cop."

        "He protected me!"

"No," Gretel said. "He didn't, he was pretending to help you while reporting to Hansel and myself. We're your council, your judge, and your jury."

"We'll do as we see fit, and if you need to be reset, we'll reset you. Now, let the trial begin," Hansel said.
