When lunch had been cleaned up, Red sat in a worn armchair, aged over time and torn slightly around the feet of the chair, while Ryland sat on a similar chair, both red in color. She watched Red study the door intently before staring at Ryland herself. "How do we save your sisters, then? We'll need help, and I know just who to ask, but we need to work this out somehow. Plan A, Plan B, and Plan C must be utilized before we do anything."
"Isn't it dangerous to talk about that here when he could be anywhere?"
"He's not listening, trust me."
"I'm not too sure ont hat, Red, he may be listening right now, I mean, he can get in and all, so---"
"So he won't get in, he can't when I hold the key to my own doorknob. This room is soundproof because I control my own room, as do the brothers' themselves."
"Then... I suppose we need to find where they are first."
"The seven brothers' can help, they can do anything they put their mind to, when you make them see they can do that. And... I suppose Tom Thumb can help us, he's neutral, he has the Wolfe's permission due to him not being good or evil, which isn't unusual. Those with wolves in their story as the big bad, well, they can roam free, but there's only three stories that have that: mine, the brothers', and yours. The other suffer because they're being punished for goodness knows what."
"But recruiting won't---"
"Be an issue, so stop worrying. We need to act fast or he may harm your companions... Sisters, I hear? Maybe not sisters, but you act it, and you are the Three Little Pigs in human form, so... I guess you guys count. Now, tactically, that's only Plan A. We need a backup?"
"Like...?"
"Like if I get kidnapped, too, or the brothers' themselves, or Tom Thumb, who I know will help us because you need more than yourself to get free, that or all your story. It's rule two of this whole labyrinth set-up."
"But that won't happen if we're careful."
"True, but the brothers' are weak, and Tom Thumb and I can only do so much. We need your help, too, obviously, you'll need to decide the final choice, but we need manpower, and only Tom and I can give that to you. There's... Not many neutrality people here, you know."
"I gathered. So... Plan B is brute force?"
"Yes. And C... Hm, I don't know. I guess we'll think of that when we get there? I mean, brute force might work for now, and everything's so unpredictable, so maybe Plan A and B are needed only."
"When do we activate this?"
"Now. Grab your flashlight, anything you might need from here, food, whatever, I can get us bags to carry it in." After an hour and a half passed, and when they were ready, Red opened the door, Ryland turned her flashlight on, and they left into the hallway.
