Path 3: Tilli, Epilogue

One Year Later

        Heinrich was awake before her that morning, an exact year after their escape and nine months after the destruction of The Wolf's Den, something they'd done first. Thankfully, Tilli missed no time at school, college kept her busy, and she'd made new friends at college. Ryland, thankfully, owned the apartment with them, and after some convincing that it was still three rooms being used, Snow White and Heinrich weren't minded. Adrieve's room was remodeled and furniture donated to other neighbors. Snow White only kept what she liked.

        Sitting at the breakfast table, Ryland and Tilli to the local community college, and Snow White to her day job before night classes. Heinrich, however, had the easiest time of all: it turned out, that when Tilli left with Heinrich as a frog, the King followed, leaving his daughter behind, and escaped the King followed, leaving his daughter behind, and escaping without care. He'd been a business man, it was learned, and returning to his company after so long, he was given his position back, and so he hired Heinrich. Tilli had been thankful, and that, while everyone in the apartment had a job, Heinrich had been the luckiest.

        "Good morning, Tilli," Snow White said, a cheery smile as she ate her breakfast, Ryland waving just as cheerfully. Both continued talking about what to do with their horrible curtains in their rooms, while keeping the old curtains safe somewhere. That and what to do with the old couch they ne

        Heinrich, however, set her plate before Tilli as Tilli sat down sipping her juice, giving her a quick kiss and humming warmly. "Did you sleep well?"

        "Mmh. Did you? I think I woke you in the middle of the night by accident."

        "Oh I slept fine, you didn't wake me last night."

        "Make sure you remember not to take a lunch today, Snow's treating us to this new place she's been waiting to try and it's finally open."

        Snow White nodded, a hum in agreement before launching into where to get a new mixer to replace theirs.

        Heinrich waited until everyone finished breakfast before washing the dishes, going into their bedroom to change for work. Ryland and Tilli always left together to get to school on the train on time, and Snow White always waited for Heinrich to be ready to leave, they worked in the same place, and when they left, the apartment was usually silent.

        Today, thankfully, was another, normal Monday, to everyone's relief.
