The gardens were beautiful and in full bloom, but Adrieve could enjoy none of her surroundings. Prince Charn was sitting on a bench beside her, and she felt more off than usual in this scenario given to her. If she whispered Mr. Wolfe's name now, would he rescue her from this man? She'd said she wanted to get a prince earlier, but why had he gone after her now? She looked the same, yes, but it was something that made her feel a tiny bit fearful. It was enough to make her frown.
"Not having fun, Lady Adrieve?"
"Why would I not be, Your Majesty? It's any girls dream to have a prince fall in love with her, is it not?"
"As I've heard it, women desire to have a prince fall in love with her. It does not seem to be your life passion, however."
"How is it you can tell? I didn't say that it wasn't."
"You frown. When you frown, you look unhappy."
"I'm not unhappy, Your Majesty, you're imagining it."
"I do not imagine anything. You're clearly unhappy and I don't like it. How can I make you love me!?"
"I don't want to love you! I already want to love someone else!"
"Like who!? Who could be better than me!?"
"Mr. Wolfe is better than you! He doesn't make me wear complicated dresses and stare at me like I'm wife material! I don't want you, I'll never want you, and I want to go home!"
Having stood in the time she delivered her rant, Adrieve stared with hatred at Prince Charn. Without a second thought, she ran further into the garden with all her efforts while Prince Charn ran after her, calling her name.
