CHAPTER TWO <3

"So, JBeebs. When's your next recording studio thingy then?"

"Soon i hope."

Oh silly me! I forgot to mention that my best friend is a popstar. He's already released a couple of songs, and he has a small fanbase

but they never seem to be around. I know that'll probably change when he releases his album and goes on tour, so i'm trying to savour

every moment i have with him.

"Learnt any new dance moves?"

He nods excitedly, tugging my shirt so we stop. His hands manouver quickly, forming a cool little hand dance. At the end, he twirls around and does jazz hands. I laugh.

"That's pretty neat!"

"I know right? I got taught it the other day." Justin continues his dancing by moonwalking down the sidewalk, knocking into a few people who give him dirty looks.

"Ok ok, i get it now." I pull on his shirt and drag him towards the store on the way home. "Get me a coke please?" i turn towards him expectantly.

"Anything for the Yeti." he struts inside and buys us both our sodas.

"Catch!"

I lift out a hand, almost effortlessly, and grab the can.

"Cheers man." I felt so cool.

Justin reveals a large bag of Sour Patch Kids, opens it and starts to chew hungrily. My eyes widen.

"Jussstttiiinnnn?"

"No. Mine."

"You know you love me..?"

"No. They are m-i-n-e mine."

"Pleaseeeee. I'll love you forever!"

He stops to look me, moving closer. His hands cup my face gently and he stares into my eyes. Whaa? He moves his face towards me. And burps in my face.

"UNLUCKY." he runs away from me, holding the loser sign to his forehead.

I run after him, shouting abuse and giggling. He stops suddenly, causing me to crash into him.

"Owwwch! That hurt!" I rub my head with fake annoyance. "You know, i'll feel better if you gave me some sour patch kids.."

Justin stuffed the bag into his jean pocket, making the front of his trousers look slightly comical. He then proceeded to fold his arms and pout,

sticking out his bottom lip in protest.

"If you wanted some, you could of asked when i got them. I'm not going all the way back."

I roll my eyes and link onto his arm. We walk home chatting about our schedules.

“So Yeti. What classes are you doing tomorrow?”

“Math, Geography, Science, Art and drama.” I remember, picturing it in my head.

“Same! Well, I have history instead of geography but whatever.”

“Awesome!”

We do our celebratory hand shake before walking down my driveway. I reach into my pocket to pull out my key. Twisting it into the lock, I give Justin a look as if to say: “You coming in?”

“Ah, it's okay, I gotta get home to practise on my new song, and practise speaking for my interview tomorrow morning. I'll text you soon?”

I nod.
