CHAPTER 16 <3

POW. Alex Rider hits the man in the chin with a vicious right hook. BAM. The man tries to hit back blindly, but misses completely slamming onto the floor. Two more henchman try to tackle the young 14 year old, but as always, he manages to find a way of making them knock each other unconscious. He moves on into the building to save the day, pushing the-

“Geez Ash, I swear you watched that on the way here.” Justin prods his finger into the power switch, making the whole screen blank.

I gasp. “ YOU DID NOT JUST DO THAT. And I watched a different Alex film on the way here. It just got to my favourite part as well. I hate you.”

“Love you too. Play Grand Theft Auto with me!” He whines, motioning to his little tv screen.

After a couple more days in Canada, it was time for us to say goodbye to his grandparents. By the end I was calling them Grandpa and Grandma, it all got a bit emotional. I could see the tears in their eyes as we left. I thanked them both for letting me stay, promising I would keep in touch. You could see how hard it was for Pattie and Justin also. They only get to see each other really rarely now.

In the end, we managed to say goodbye.

“Justin, didn't you play this on the way here?” I pointedly ask him. Hah. NOW the roles have reversed.

He spluttered in my face, causing me to wipe off the spit. Gross.

"Maybe. What's your point?"

He folded his arms in jubilance.

"You just said..." I started, but he cut in.

"That's completely different. This:"

He points to his screen.

"Is much better than that." Frowning at mine.

I wave him away, putting my headphones on. "Hush now, it's about to do a close up on his face."

"I know because I've seen it with you a billion times!" Justin explodes, exasperated.

I giggle, pressing my hand into his face, forcing him to sit back in his airplane seat. "Shh Bieber."

The last thing I heard was "You scare me sometimes, Ash." before I completely blacked out.

Drip. Drip. Drip.

I crinkle my nose. What I'd that? I open my eyes to see Justin over me, letting water from his bottle

drop onto my nose every so often.

"Finally you're awake! We're about to land."

I groaned, wiping my wet nose.

"Why didn't you just wake me up like a normal person then?"

He grins. "Where's the fun in that? Also, you were snoring really loudly. I'm surprised the whole

airplane didn't complain!"

I muttered something unmentionable under my breath before stretching. Ah. That felt good.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, please fasten your seat-belts as we prepare to land in Atlanta. Thank you for flying with American Airlines, America's number one airline since 2004. " The bored sounding Captain announced over the speaker.

I sit in my seat, bracing the landing. I look over to see Justin, a look of pure horror on his face. As if he's just seen a ghost. What a goofball. We hit the ground harder than I had expected, my breath was let out in a huge "oof".
