CHAPTER 18<3

"Halloween plans." Justin says as he thunders in through the open door. "I've got a really good idea."

"...come in." I chuckle. He looks really funny when he's being all serious.

He sits himself down on the couch, yelling "HEY SOFIA." (my mom's name)

"HI JUSTIN." she yells back.

He turns to me, leaning forward. "Right. Basically, I think it'd be a good idea if we bought each others costumes, but kept it a secret until the night. That good for you?" he stares at me intently.

OH. He's actually asking me for MY opinion. Hmm. This could be a really bad idea... But then I

had a lightbulb moment. I have the perfect costume.

"Yes. That is definitely a good idea."

He looked slightly worried. "Um, I'm kinda scared. Why do you think this is such a good idea?"

"Oh, did I sound excited? Sorry, I just don't mind, that's all." I put on a sweet voice, which he seemed to buy. Mwahaha.

"Ah okay. Back to you." he pauses grinning at me viciously. "How was your date with Mr. Mahone?"

"It was amazing thanks. I'm glad you introduced us."

He wrinkled his nose at me. "Awesome, but spare me the details."

"I didn't-"

"Cool. Now let's play some video games or something and discuss this Halloween ball. You'll have to get something that hides my face for obvious reasons, and plus I don't go to the school anymore."

“Obvious reasons? You're hideous?” Heh. I'm so funny.

“Me? Ugly? Oh honey do me a favour and repeat what you just said. You aint tellin' no truth.” He replied in a ghetto voice.

I put a hand to his face.

"Hush. Lets play some GTA or something. Did you bring it?"

He whips out the game, it glints in the sun.

"As always."

"I need to get that game, I probably wouldn't suck if I practised."

"Lets practise now then!" he drags me upstairs.

* * * * *

"BAM!" Justin tips over another car, making his character run up and down in victory. I still don't get this game. How do you win? I haven't even shot anyone yet.

Justin looks over at me and smirks.

"Your controller broken AGAIN?"

"Shut it beaver. I'm just a little rusty."

"We've been playing for at least an hour."

"Whatever."

He chuckles at me, getting a few more points.

I chuck my controller on the floor again and sulk. He doesn't seem to notice though. "HMRPH" I say loudly.

Then I remembered.

"OH! I HEARD YOUR ALBUM TODAY!"

This time I've attracted his attention. "Really? How was it? I've heard it's sold a few hundred thousand already!" he looks really excited.

I let out a scream for him. "It was incredible! And oh wow, I'm so happy for you Biebs!"

He grins. "Yeah! And I got a surprise for you, but you can't know until your birthday."
