CHAPTER TWELVE<3

“MALL DAY MALL DAY EVERY DAY SHOULD BE MALL DAY.”

Justin bounces up and down on the bed, singing from the top of his voice.

“Goawayi'mtryingtosleep.” I mumble, throwing the pillow on top of my face to block out the noise he was making. But that obviously did not work.

“ASHLEIGH GET UP GET UP ASHLEIGH. LALALA LAZY YETI.” He thwacks my head hard, making it impossible to get more rest.

“OKAY OKAY I'M UP.” I rush to the bathroom to sort myself out. Upon re-entering, I see Justin is kitted out in his latest colour coded outfit. A green sweater, with green shoes, white skinny jeans and green hat.

I do a fake double-take.

“Oh sorry, I just thought you were the Hulk.”

He looks insulted. “I don't dress to please Yetis anyway. Girls really dig the Hulk.”

I snort. “Whatever you say.”

Breakfast consisted of bacon, eggs and baked beans. I wolfed it all up hungrily, not caring how unladylike I look. After washing up (just as we had promised!), we went outside onto the lawn. I let Justin lead the way since I had no idea where I was going. He skipped on ahead, dodging round streetlights and trees of the neighborhood.

“Where are we going Bieber?” I asked, trying to catch up with him.

He turns around and grins. “The mall silly! Follow me.”

We make it out onto a street, where there is a busy road. The cars fly past us. I see a gap, taking the risk, running across. Justin grabs my hand.

“Road Safety, babe.”

I roll my eyes as soon as we get to the other side. “I'm not a grandma 'babe' and you can let go now.”

He gives my hand a final squeeze before letting go. What a weirdo.

After about what seemed like ages of pushing past people, running through roads and generally just messing about, we find the mall. It was a tall building, the Canadian flag draped along the front. That's all I really took In before I was being manhandled inside. Rows and rows of ice hockey jerseys met my gaze. Justin almost cried with happiness. He ran around the entire place, picking up blue ones, red ones, yellow ones.. Practically the whole frickin' rainbow.

“Ur. Justin. Do you even have time to play that much ice hockey at home?”

He looks at me as if i'm stupid. “Of course not! But look at all these jerseys! They're so soft see?” He shoves one in my face, the smell of wool filling my nostrils.

“Mmmhmm, okay. But there's really no need to try on that many. Why don't you just get one colour?” I shake my head at him.

“BECAUSE THERE'S SO MAY COLOURS.” He yells, unable to contain his excitement.

Geez. This is a bit much for a jersey. I slowly back away from him, going into another store. It''s a gift shop. I decide to buy a few things for Carla, Jade, George and Annie. Obviously not Lucy, but she doesn't seem to hang around with them any more. I get a Canadian flag photo frame for Carla, so she can put pictures of her and matt in it, if she wanted to. I also pick up a teddy for Jade, a pen for George and a notebook for Annie.

My phone buzzes.

“Hey there good looking. Got this number from this girl Lucy. What you up to? ;) Ben xx”

Oh dear god.

“I have a boyfriend sorry.” Was my only reply.

I send another text to Justin.
