Small Creature

     The small snake creeped through the bushes, his tail slithering behind him. Ivan hid behind the tall blades of grass to escape the bigger enemies. He was scavenging for some food for himself, but with no luck.

      He was lucky enough to find a river to rehydrate himself. His ears picked up the subtle sounds of footsteps. Heavy footsteps. He hurried back to the tall blades of grass to hide. 

      "Wow dude! This place is amazing!" A voice yelled out. 

     "Please refrain from yelling Alfred, you're scaring every animal in existence." A new voice replied, laced with a heavy sarcasm.

     While the unknown men talked, Ivan peeked out a bit from the grass. There were two men, the first had wild blond hair and strange eyebrows. Eyebrows that were huge! He had a strange accent and had lime green eyes. 

     The second man had blond hair with a strange stray hair that stuck up, while he also had beautiful blue eyes. He had glasses and was holding a clipboard. His expression was full of happiness and determination. 

    Ivan stared at both of the men with amusement and interest. Slithering in to try and get a closer look, he ended up tripping on a tiny rock. Yep, a tiny rock. He let a tiny cry of suprise, he weakly fell to the ground. The two young men turned their heads towards the startled sound. Ivan expression turned fearful and covered his head, shielding his eyes.

     He heard the sound of rustled grass, and a voice, "Wow you're amazing." Ivan slowly and nervously pulled his arms from his head. His eyes started to cloud with tears, at the sight of the giants. The soft voice spoke up again, "Its okay, don't cry I won't hurt you."

   A hand scooped him up from the ground, he clung to the finger, not wanting to fall. He looked up to the man who was carrying him, it was the one with the pretty blue eyes. 

     Ivan was then gently placed onto a table, he cowered with his tail in his hands. He looked at the tiny cut that formed on his tail from tripping on a rock. 

    The young man with the big eyebrows came along to look at him, he seemed slightly unimpressed  by him. 

    The boy with the blue eyes beamed with joy and fascination, "Hey there little guy, I'm Alfred." Ivan continued still curled up with his tail. Alfred extended his index finger and gently petted Ivan on the head. Ivan warmed up to him, unwrapping himself from his tail.

     Alfred giggled with happiness and stopped petting Ivan. Alfred smile faltered when he saw the cut on Ivan's tail. "You're hurt." He stood up, "As a hero, I'll help you." 

      He headed towards a box near his camping stuff. A first aid kit, a special one. Alfred walked back to Ivan with the kit, "This is a special kit for animals." Ivan shyly nodded his head. 

     He washed off and his cut was taken care of. Alfred rested his head on his arms to look closely at Ivan. He laughed and went to pet him again, "You are just so cute." 

     "Alfred we should be going if we want be at the top of the mountains by nightfall." A sassy voice announced. He turned to Arthur and sighed, "I guess you're right." He said and scooped Ivan up and placed him by the grass, Ivan latched onto Alfred's finger.

     Alfred laughed a bit, "I got to go and you have to go to." Ivan shook his head. 

   Alfred glanced at Arthur then back at Ivan, "Do you want to come with me?" Ivan nodded his head rapidly, making him a bit dizzy. Alfred smiled warmly and placed Ivan on his shoulder.

     Ivan was in for one heck of an adventure.
