Third Person Pov
Years had gone by for the two of them. Conor indeed grew evermore popular. But Jackie stayed hidden. She eventually had to find a job, so she began working little things. Like doing people's lawn, washing people's cars, things of the sorts. She had to grow up sooner than most kids. She would spend her mornings at the library, taking online classes for her age. In the afternoons she would work, usually earning 20$ per hour once her employers learned of her background story. Though she didn't want that much, she only wanted the ten, but they always insisted. In the evenings she would play video games, go to karate classes or practice some parcore. She pushed herself to be the Jackie she thought she was meant to be. She never waisted her time. Every moment she had, it was to tone herself. She constantly became better at everything she did. On the weekends she would volunteer at the homeless shelter, cooking food for them. They always asked for seconds. She could gather the most abnormal ingredients and make the dish taste outstanding, she was just that good. She was good at everything she did. Almost everything.
Not a single day goes by that she didn't think of her worst day. The day she lost her mother, officially lost her father for good, and lost her one chance at a friend.
As time went on, both Conor and Jackie improved, both in their looks and skills. Conor even got the chance to go on tour. Jackie saw this in an article from the Game Stop store she would always go in. She eventually applied for a job there. Though they couldn't accept her because of her age. She had to be at least 15 years. She was only a few months away.
Her life was finally going back on track.
Conor though had gotten a sever case of gamer's thumb. He broke them like twigs. One thing led to another, and he ended up going to Mondale High. And through his stay there, he had finally found what he needed most, something he almost had all those years ago. A friend.
More months passed, and Jackie finally got her first real job, the one at Game Stop. She was the store's favorite. Any question customers had, she could answer it. They would always compliment her, how smart she was. How beautiful she was. Jackie had grown out of her short, and awkward youth. Now she had grown into a 5'5 young teen, long platinum blonde hair, and gorgeous green eyes. They boys would always find excuses to talk to her. She would every now and then get asked out. She, being the nice girl she was, never wanting to seem rude to strangers, would always say yes, though the dates never turned out good. Ranging from bad restaurants to bad conversations, nothing ever turned out good on the dates. She always sucked it up though, if she couldn't enjoy it, she had to let the other guy enjoy it. Yes, she would kiss them, just to make up for the horrible date. But no guy ever called back. They were too shy to go back out with her.
Once again, Jackie had a very lonely life again. She still had her job though.
After every shift, she skateboard to Billy the Squids. She loved the food there. Okay so it was they only thing she could afford, but the food was good for the price. She became close to Billy, she considered him to be her only friend. She would hang there around six everyday, when the place is less packed. This way, it could be just her and Billy, and she liked it that way.
Billy, took a liking to Jackie the instant she came crashing into his restaurant. It may not have been so graceful, but he enjoyed her reaction. He would always welcome her, and many times he would offer her a job there, but she would alway decline.
Though she never took the job, she always found herself cooking the food at some point. Her cooking skills making the food taste so much better of course, and she knew this. But she wanted to keep her Game Stop job, so she can harness her video gaming skills. Her brakes always including defeating bosses.
It was perfect for her...
So I didn't do so much of Conor, because those who watch the show should already know his back story. I just did Jackie because you guys need to be filled in. But if you've read this far, then thank you!
