Conor's pov

School has been a pain. The crew and I have this speech to present something persuasive. Ashley hasn't finished, Wendell can't find an appropriate subject, Franklin has too much to say, and I....I'm afraid to present. Oh but don't worry, it's only due tomorrow, and I still have to meet up with Cathy after school. But she would understand, right?

--

After texting Cathy that the gang and I are doing homework at my house, I was permitted the nouse of someone knocking at my door. I hurried over and opened it to none other than, Cathy, herself.

"Hey Conor, heard you could use some help." She stated in a cheery voice, equipped with her backpack in hand.

I let her in and we headed downstairs, wherr the others were.

After settling in and half an hour of going hard at the work, Cahty decided to change the subject.

"Hey, where's Jackie? She usually hangs around with you guys right?"

I gave her and awkward glance. I wasn't quite sure how to answer, I didn't want to talk behind her back. "Um, we're just going through a rough patch." I said all fidgety.

Cathy's pov

A rough patch? YES! I have a chance.

--

After everyone, but Conor, finished their homework, they all left giving me their gratitude.

I still had to help Conor with his confidence issues.

--

Who knew he would be avle to pick this up in a flash? He had thanked me and led me upstairs. But I need to make my move now. "Conor, I can understand what it's like to go through a rough patch, we've all been there before."

Conor's pov

"Conor, I can understand what it's like to go through a rough patch, we've all been there before." Cathy said to me, as she stood in the dorway of my front door. "And I want you to know that I'm here for you."

"Um thanks, but its not me who ne-" I was caught off with Cathy kissing me? WTF? She kept pushing into me, and even wrapped her arms around my neck trying to even further the kiss. Don't kiss back. But she's actually kinda good at it. Don't. Kiss. Back. But she's really good at it. I kissed back and wrapped my arms aroung her waist.

After a moment of heat and bliss, we separated. "That was...amazing." I said astonished.

"Better than Jackie?" She asked batting her eyes. "I'll be waiting to hear how your speach goes. Goodnight Conor." She cooed in a flirtatious tone.

Now that I thought about it, when I kissed Jackie, I can't recall it being as good as just a moment ago.

"I don't know Conor, was it as good as mine?" Around the corner, out came my girlfriend. For now.

"I-- Jackie I-" I stuttered. I didn't know what to say.

She walked up closer to me, slow and tedious with every step she took. She was expressionless. Emotionless. More and more with each step. The closer she got, the more I saw how much I just broke her.

"Give me a good reason. Right now, why I should stay. Give me a reason why I should stay with you." She said flatly.

"Be-because I love you, a-and you love me." I croaked. My voice craking as much as her heart.

"Do we? I loved you. But do you really love me? Because I see nothing to prove that." She spoke, her voice raising a little. Crackling, bubbling, ready to cry. Broken. "Conor...I don't know what to think right now. Please, do you really love me?"

My mind blanked, trying to figure out something to make her stay. But I don't think she will in this state. "Of course." I said, but for some numbskulled reason, my voice sounded unsure.

"Goodbye Conor." She turned around and began to walk off. As she did, a single, lonely, crystal tear fell from her.

I just broke my crytal angel...
