"Well they don't call him KidFury for nothing!" Boasted Franklin.
I looked up at him. Then to Conor. He kept the name I gave him all those years ago. Maybe he isn't mad at me...
"Conor, you should know me..."
"I should?" He questioned. I have to tell him.
"Why did you call yourself KidFury?" I looked at him, I turn to approach him and began stepping closer to him, purposely invade his personal bubble, as he did mine a moment ago.
"Um, because it sounds cool?" He backed up into the wall, I pinned his hands using my firm grip to hold them next to his sides, holding them in place.
I looked down at the ground for a second, thinking thoroughly of my next actions. "No. That's not why. You know why, and so do I."
"P-please explain what you mean."
I got closer to him, our cheeks brushing past each other, letting him feel uneasy, my mouth opened, breathing hot air on his ear. This way, he's on edge. I wait a moment for dramatic pause. "You don't remember Water lily?"
I backed away, and released my grasp on his hands. "Water Lily? Water Lily...WATER LILY!" He ran forward, engulfing me into a tight hug. "Oh man! I thought I'd never hear from you again. I'm so sorry I didn't recognize you. It's just, you've changed..." He backed up to and looked me up and down, and stopped at my hips then breast areas. I began to slightly blush when I noticed how much he was checking me out. But then he looked back up to my face. "You've changed so much. You're so... Different from what I remember." He looked at me with such passion in his eyes. "Jackie, what happened to you? After you just pushed me away, and I-I tried to find you. I really did, but I couldn't find you anywhere."
"Hehe, yeah. I was waiting outside for you. But you never showed up, so I left...." I looked down at the ground, fearing they'd see the tears in my eyes.
"Jack, look at me. I'd never forget about you. I was suppose to have a meeting after I talked to you, but instead I spent it looking for you. I asked everyone to look all over the building, I figured they would've checked outside. I'm sorry"
I looked up at him, tears staining my beat red face, trying to hold back sobs. Thinking back to that day only made my efforts the more pointless.. I began sobbing, tears streaming out of my eyes, my sight drowned in painful memories.
"Conor, I think there's more to her story. Jack, what's wrong. What else happened?" Ashley came to my side, and placed a hand on my back, making circular motions with it, trying to calm me down.
Do I have to tell them? Must I tell them? It was hard enough telling Billy, but how am I supposed to tell Conor? The guy who walked away with the cash money. "I-if I-I must...M-my m-mother died th-that day. T-to cancer." My sides hurt so much, I had to clutch them. I crossed my arms, trying to conceal myself from the pain, but nothing's working.
"Is that why you entered the tournament?" Conor's face went pale and looked guilty, probably thinking it's his fault, I'm so scared, but it's my fault.
"I remember you! I read about it. It was a close game, you would've won too, if you'd done just a single more HP worth of damage. Gosh, that's horrible... That's why you entered, isn't it?" Demanded Franklin
"Hehe, I guess I've got a fan after all. But yes, I'm aware I almost won. And yeah, I entered for my mom... I hoped after the surgery dad would've come back... But... He never did. I waited at our home for about two years for him to come back. He never did. No one did. No one came for me. I'm the girl who never had fans, who never got remembered, the girl who lost everything and no one even knew about it."
