A few weeks later
Conor's Pov
So far, I've been able to keep my emotions in check with Jackie joining us and being around us basically 24/7. Okay, so I lied. (Don't look at me like that! {I can look at you however I want})
I can't stop thinking about her. Anything and everything will make me think of her. It's so bad I've been doing worse than normal in classes, but don't worry, you know who my tutor is? Yeah, Jackie. It's not that is a bad thing, but I can't focus. Whenever I think of her, I just imagine what it would be like if I became all romantic and swooned her over, or what it would be like if we had a heated make out session.
As usual, she would snap me out of my daze. But in the end I would revert back to day dreaming about her.
But on the bright side, I'm pretty sure she doesn't suspect a thing.
Jackie's Pov
Lately Conor hasn't been his self. Well, what I'm assuming isn't his self. I don't know what he was like before I met him.
"Jack? Is everything okay?" Asked Ashley. Along with Conor, I've been also tutoring Ashley. In fact, I've been doing such a good job, her overall IQ has improved immensely, though she still has her signature moments.
"Yeah, it's just... I'm worried about Conor. The way he acts around me, has he always acted like that?"
"Whhhhaaaat? What in the world are you talking about, Conor's fine, he's normal, I'm normal- STOP ASKING ME SUCH DIFFICULT QUESTIONS!" What just happened?
"Is there something I'm missing? Ashley, I know when your keeping something from me. You begin to look all around the room, you speed up your words, or hardly talk at all. What is it? I'm going to find out sooner or later, you know this." I crossed my arms, a little hurt at the thought she thinks she can keep something from me.
"I can't, Conor wouldn't forgive me."
"Let me guess... Based on the way he acts around me; the slight flirting, the constant action of checking me out and drooling every time I spend alone time with him, either he has the biggest crush on me, or he's the most flirtiest air head I've met."
"Theee...first one..." She whispered, almost as if she didn't want me to hear it. Probably she didn't, but she also didn't need to. I can be good at reading people, and Conor is an open children's book, the easiest thing to read. Besides, I can tell just by looking in his eyes. His expression always softens, his eyes gloss over, he becomes entranced, his eyes dilate. There's actually a science behind it, but to put it short, he likes me. Badly.
"Okay, so what should I do about it then? Why hasn't he asked me out?"
"He thinks you won't teasure the date or time spent with him. Which I think is ridiculous, you guys are practically a couple as it is. Plus, it's so obvious the way he looks at you, he admires you a lot."
"So what you're telling me, is that I have to ask him out?" She nodded her head, telling me that I guessed right. Never had I been the one to ask someone else out. Normally I didn't have to. Which is kind of sad in my opinion. I do think I'm pretty, but I don't get what makes guys so drawn to me.
"Hey, I've gotta run, I'll check back in later. Till then, pretend I didn't mention the whole 'Conor has a crush on you' thing? And if you decide to ask him out, don't even mention my name!" She threatened, "toodles."
