finding motivation

finding the motivation to recover is the hardest part. i wanted anything but recovery. it doesn't matter how many times people tell you why you should or what you should do, you need to do this on your own.

my advice is to think about your future, dream about everything without bringing logic, reality or pessimism into it. just pretend you're 8 years old, planning your whole life. think about the ones who love you or you love. this isn't meant to guilt but rather inspire. have an open conversation with yourself. if you like reason, pretend to split yourself in two. one of you wants to stay in deep in anorexia, the other wants nothing more than recovery, you'll soon see how quickly recovery becomes the better option. talk to yourself kindly. follow recovery blogs (probably people who are further along to avoid rants, venting or self hate). if you're religious or spiritual, talk to your God, (or whoever/whatever you worship), know they love you.

it may not work for everyone, if not, try to find your own motivation.
