Science behind nutrition:

Why protein?
Proteins are macromolecules that are very important because they help your cells function. They're used for muscle/bone structure, hair and nail strength, heart function, blood flow, brain retention, and emotions. By not consuming enough protein, your body denatures proteins, causing them to be useless and stop your body from functioning properly or at all

Okay but why carbs?
Carbohydrates awe seen as evils in the duet industry these days- which are a big part of why crash diets either don't work or end up with a reverse effect. Carbohydrates are essential to life. Healthy wheats and sugars help your blood, brain, metabolism, and mental health. By not consuming carbs, your body resorts to holding onto other macromolecules for energy- or uses all carbs in system, causing short and long term health problems

But wh-wh-why lipids?!
Lipids are fats, but before you freak out, erase the stigma behind fat. Fats are extremely important to survival. Fats help your heart, brain, skin, hair, and even your metabolism. In a sense, fats can help you slim if you are in need of it. Without fats, your body would store the bad fats, retain water, slow or increase heart rate, imbalance electrolytes, and turn your brain to "mush"

What's so special about fruits?
Fruits and veggies are great for skin, kidneys, cells, brain, and everything really. They provide energy and without them, your body wouldn't have the vitamins and nutrients to work at all

And dairy like products?
Calcium is essential because it strengthens bones and helps with skin clearance. Without it, bones would be brittle and make you more vulnerable to falls, breakages, and heart attacks
