telling people "you're anorexic" is scary but it can be empowering. be prepared for these responses:
-but you don't look like it (even if you do, people will say this thinking it'll make you feel good for whatever reason)
-but you eat
-but you can't be because anorexia is for (insert race, gender, sexuality, age etc)
-that's why you're skinny!1!1!
-oh okay cool
-that's fake
-are you looking for attention?
You'll get a multitude of reactions, but knowing how to handle them. Imagine it's someone you love in your place, and if you think someone says something real douche baggy or ignorant, then they probably did, and react by ignoring them or respectfully defending yourself, or just be honest. Or just be kind to yourself and their opinion won't matter. Reacting to what people say is one of the worst parts, but your friends, family and therapist can help you.
