finding the right treatment for you is extremely difficult, but not impossible. some options are...
self treatment: I don't recommend this at all, but if you feel like it best suits you, then read this. Downloading recovery apps, using blog advice and self motivation will help you know what to do
^i only recommend this for people who feel that they are successive to or in the beginning of anorexia, or people who are advanced in recoveryteam treatment: similar to team and family, but focused more between your professional team, you monitor yourself and visit professionals
^good for teens or adults who are better about staying on track but still need monitored weather it be a precaution or very importantteam and family treatment: the Maudsley approach is known as a plan that works for families involved in recovery. it involves your parents being your nutritional providers, at home counsellors and being a tad strict, and still loving. they are your caregivers when you're not with a professional
^good for children and teens out of inpatient, outpatient, or residential who still need extra help or a push, or someone to keep them on trackoutpatient: this means going to a hospital or treatment center everyday for meals, therapy and vitals, but sleeping at home, Ronald McDonald house, hotel, or wherever is most convenient for you to stay
^good for people who have been released from inpatient, still struggle, or are thinking about serious treatment but not residential or inpatientresidential: a place where you sleep overnight, more intense than outpatient but not as intense as hospital admission. you typically stay for a few months, in some cases years, to make great progress in a great community
^good for people who are close to inpatient level but still motivated to beat itinpatient hospitalization: some cases are emergency (mine was, let me tell you to seek treatment adapt because it's scary, dude), and some are planned but this is typically for people with eating disorders who can't function at home, let alone the real world. some cannot walk, think straight and many people are treated medically. feeding tubes, IVs, blood tests and other treatments are very common, but you learn to eat and follow a meal plan
^good for people who are in too deep to help themselves, close to death, have no motivation, or are running out of optionsPSA: no shame in what you need for recovery, it is okay and how good or bad you are doesn't define you. Don't think of what others will think- do what's best for you
