savannah's pov

Once we got there, I got both twins out and handed Sammy baby Kaylan and I kept baby Mahogany. We walked in and went to the service desk. I was fixing to speak up, when Craig said, "I'm Craig Tebbe. Im Nathan Montgomery Maloley lawyer. Appointed lawyer. I will need to speak with him. And his fiance will need to be in there with me. I know his and her rights and she can be in there with him. Also if there is a bond posted-" "I will pay it." I interrupted him and he looked at me. The lady looked at her screen and said, "Nathan Maloley will be out in a minute. Only 2 can go in and see him. We will bring him out. With a detective. Go into that room." She pointed to a empty conference room and we nodded. Sammy sat down and we started heading into the conference room.

"Ma'am no babies allowed in there." Craig spoke up and said, "They are 3 months old. There's a right that allows her to take them in there." He pushed the door the door open and let me in. I sat down in the chair closest to the door. And Craig sat in the chair closest to the window. There was a seat in between us. I put the twins' diaper bag on the ground and sat them in their car seats on the floor. We waited about 15 minutes. And then Nate came out with a man holding his hands behind his back. Still wearing the same clothes he was when he left our house earlier. His grey shirt with a white undershirt and joggers.

He got sat down in between me and Craig and the man said to us, "All this will be recorded. We have already laid out some ground questions we need covered today. Nate has a bond set for 5,500 dollars. Since he has a lawyer, he can answer questions or keep silent all up to him."

Nate grabbed my hand under the table and the detective said, "Nathan, we have reports of you and your friend with the last name of Wilkinson helping Savannah and another man move into a new house together. But you weren't staying there. It was Savannah, her current boyfriend, her current boyfriend's brother and girlfriend, and James. Savannah's brother as I was told."

"Yes, I was helping her because me and my friend Sammy was in the area and we decided to help. And no I wasn't staying there. Just helping Savannah."

"Now how about James?"

I spoke up before Nate even had the chance too, "My mother died after giving birth to him. My dad, not James' biological dad, left me and my mom once she found out she was pregnant. I was left to raise James. I raised him since the day he was born." He nodded and wrote things down on the paper.

"Moving on to december of 2014. Savannah you were going through a breakup i hear with a man I can not say."

"Yes. I was. He cheated on me. He had been cheating on me for about 3 months. Which was the duration of our relationship?"

"What does this have to do with anything?" Craig spoke up.

"We need to get all the facts."

"And you let someone you barely knew move in with you and your son."

"He was two sir. James was two. Savannah knew he needed a father figure for him. But he was never left alone for more than two hours with him. I know this because Savannah told me."

"In the report given to me, in January of 2015, Nathan, you reportedly beat on Savannah. Beat her to death. Bloody nose, lip. Busted lip. Bruised eye. And bruised rib or stomach from kicking her."

I looked at Nate and he looked at me. Then we looked at craig. Craig spoke up and said, "My client and his fiance have never been in an abusive relationship. We have reports on file of where, of in January of 2015, Nash Grier threatened Savannah and Nate and James. We can get the hotel footage from where Nash Grier's girlfriend at the time beat Savannah to death. Which caused the bloody nose, lip. Busted lip. Bruised eye. And bruised stomach from kicking her. Ambushing her really in the hallway of a hotel."
