Savannah's pov

The past few days have been amazing. Even though Nate is still in some pain and in his cast, he has still been a good dad. Especially to the twins since today is their first birthday. Tomorrow is their birthday party. Since their birthday is today and It's on a Friday.

I was currently laying in bed, about to turn over to see Nate's handsome face when I looked to my left where Nate always sleeps, (I always sleep on the right) and saw he wasn't there. I didn't panic, knowing he was probably in the twins' room, James' room, or downstairs getting breakfast. Stretching in our bed, I swung my feet to the side of the bed and got out of it. I walked over to our dresser and immediately put on my wedding ring because if I didn't the ring on now I would forget to put it on later in the day.

I walked downstairs and heard soft giggles coming from the living room. I stopped at one of the last steps and saw Nate was on the couch watching the twins, who were in their jumpers. I tried to be as quiet as I could as I took a picture of them three and put it as my lock screen.

"So here are the birthday girls." Nate looked over in my general direction.

"Is James up yet? He has school." Oh crap. I totally forgot maybe he could just not be at school today. He never went to preschool on his birthday. Don't tell my parents, well my dad and Cari. Nate doesn't know either. Oh well.

"No. It's too late for him to get up and get dressed and be ready on time. So he's staying home today with us." He nodded and mumbled an alright.

I walked into the kitchen, well into the pantry and found some cereal for James to eat. His new favorite thing to eat since Monday. Nate got him kind of addicted to it. Walking out of the pantry, I sat the cereal box down on the island and found a bowl for the cereal. I was startled by someone coming down the stairs and when I looked up and it was James. I motioned for him to come over to me and I handed him the bowl of cereal. He thanked me and went and sat down at the dining room table. Smiling at my "little" family, I fixed the rest of my family's breakfast; Nate's protein smoothie shake thing, and the twins' baby food, which they hate. They kind of hinted at it when we fed them it for the first time when we were in North Carolina for mine and Nate's wedding. They threw up on us.

Nate brought the twins over and sat them down in their high chairs and I, myself put their plates of baby food on their tray and brought Nate his food. He thanked me and gave me a kiss on the cheek as I sat down beside him. He looked at me with worry in his eyes and asked, "You're not eating this morning?"

I shook my head and he just went off eating his breakfast. Knowing he always worries about me when I skip a meal or meals. And I haven't skipped meals on purpose in a long time. I'm just not hungry this morning. But god let me tell you, when I was pregnant with the twins I ate things I had never ate before and I can't eat them now because it makes me sick. Strange right?

The rest of the family finished eating and when they finished they handed me their dishes like I was their slave and I went to go wash them as Nate took the three kids upstairs, hopefully getting them ready. Meanwhile I was stuck cleaning the dishes. You know if Nate's leg was good enough, I'd make him do it. And if James knew how to clean dishes, he would. And he will one day.

Finishing the dishes, I headed upstairs and saw from the crack in the door of the twins' room, Nate was getting them dressed. He is such a good father to the girls and James. I couldn't have asked for a better dad for any of them. I snuck into mine and Nate's room and heard the shower running. Most likely James. I sat down on my bed and pulled out my phone and saw Nate had posted a picture of the twins, the photo from when they were born, and a picture from the other day and said, "My beautiful twin daughters, Kaylan Jane, who was born at 7:11 am a year ago and Mahogany Faith who was born at 7:27am a year ago on September 15th, 2016 are now a year old! They are the best daughters I could ever ask for. Me, Savannah, and James are so blessed to have them in our lives. On another note, this was 1 year down, 17 more to go. (just kidding these girls aren't going anywhere). I love you girls with all my heart and no matter what your mama says, I love you more." I shook my head and liked it. I shut my phone off and the bathroom door opened. I looked to my right and it was James. As I suspected.
