Savannah's pov

I had just got done putting the twins to bed and Nate wasn't even home yet and he said he was only gonna be gone for an hour to an hour and a half. It had been almost 3 hours. James had even asked me a few times where he was and I just said he was just at uncle Sammy's.

I was in the living room just watching tv when I decided to call Sammy.

It kept ringing until the 5th ring and Sammy finally picked up.

"Savannah why are you calling me at 10:15 at night?" He sounded like he just woke up.

"Well, Nate said he was at your house because you had something for him."

"Well he ain't here and he ain't been here yet. Aye, i'll be over in 15 minutes Savannah and I'll stay with you till he gets home. Don't worry I'll be there."

"Thanks Sammy, you have a key so just walk in."

"Nah, no problem."

I hit end call and heard one of the twins crying as soon as I did. I went into the twins room and saw it was Mahogany. Jesus, does the girl have a sensor in her body that lets her know when Nathan isn't home. I picked her up and went downstairs. I sat back down on the couch with her in my lap. She wouldn't stop crying no matter what i did.

I picked up my phone and unlocked it and went to my camera roll. I found a video I had of Nate rapping and showed Mahogany. Surprisingly, it calmed her down.

When Sammy walked through the door, my phone started ringing. I handed Sammy, Mahogany and answered my phone hesitantly because it was an unknown number. "Hello is this Savannnah Maloley?"

"Yeah why?"

"Your husband has been in a bad car accident. Single car crash. He has broken his leg up to his knee. He has no memory loss and his right side is hurting more than the left because the car flipped onto his right side. He can also be signed out in 4 days but we need you to come fill out patient information and anything else important for him because we need it."

"Okay. I'll- I'll be there in 20 minutes." I hung the phone up and felt tears coming down my face.

I looked up and saw Sammy looking at me with an unexplainable expression on his face.

"Savannah, who was that?" He questioned.

"The hospital. They said Nate was in a single car crash." I broke down crying right there on the couch.

"I'll go get Kaylan and James. Go ahead and get in the car. I'll drive." I nodded and he handed me Mahogany and we headed on out to the car. I put her in her car seat in my car and sat in the front passenger seat. Waiting patiently for Sammy and the kids.

They finally came out about 5 minutes later with Sammy holding the diaper bag, my purse, and James' bag. James was holding Kaylan.

Sammy put the kids in the car and we headed on our way to the hospital. When we got there, I didn't even wait for Sammy. I quickly hopped out of the car and picked up Kaylan and sprinted into the hospital with her in my arms.

"Nathan Maloley", I said to the lady at the front desk.

"Your name?" the nurse asked me as she smacked on her gum.
