chapter 18

chapter 18    "That was amazing" John Luke said finishing the last of the brownie on his plate 

  "I'm glad you liked it, it's my favourite" I said taking his plate and walking over to the sink  

"here I'll help you with the dishes" He said getting up and coming over the sink

  "ok, I'm just placing them in the dish washer" I said rinsing them off and placing them in the dish washer  

"Hey what would you like me to do with the pasta" he asked

  "oh just throw it out, it won't get eaten" I said turning around and placing a plate in the dish washer

 "ok, so what movie would you like to watch" he asked scopping the pasta and throwing it in the garbage

 "anything, I'm really simple" I said closing the dish washer and hitting the on button  

"lets let netflix deside" he said laughing 

"sounds perfect" I said hopping on the counter, my phone was buzzing like crazy it was sadie calling for the millionth time, I sighed just letting it buzz

 "whats the matter" he asked putting the pot down and looking at me

"your sister she wont leave me alone" I said

"just tell her to cool it" he said putting a hand on my knee

 "hello" I said answering the phone

"hey I'm starting to get worried, it's 9:30 and he's still not home, like where could he have gone, should I call him" sadie spat out all at once

"I don't know but I can't help you at this moment, I have company, call him see whats going on but I can't talk at this moment" I said John Luke looked up, giving me the look of oh no please dont

 "ok sorry for buging you, call me when Broody" she said before hanging up

"she's calling you" I said just as John Luke's phone started buzzing, he slid it unlocked and put it to his ear   

"hello" he said looking at me, I was trying my best not to laugh

"I am at the pond just relaxing, I'll see ya later" he siad in one swift sentence before hanging up   "oh my she's not going to be happy with that" I said laughing 

"I could care less if she likes it or not but my dad said before I left that I need to be home by 11" he said throwing his phone the counter and putting his arms around my shoulders

"well thenwe should go watch a movie" I said hoping off the counter, grabbing his hand and making our way to family room

"so whats on netflix tonight" He said flicking the TV on, I plopped my self next to him, resting my head on his shoulder

"lets watch Duck Dynasty" I said laughing

 "sure why not" he said clicking it and letting the episode play, I snuggled in watching maybe 15 min of the show, John luke was brushing threwing my hair, and kissing the top of my head

 "hey John Luke can I ask you a question" I asked sitting up and looking him his eyes

"ya whats the matter" he asked 

"how long have you liked me" I asked fixing my hair and sitting back

"I've liked you since you were about 14 when I saw you at miss kay and papaw phil's after Sadie and you finished hunting ducks, I thought you looked cute" he said grabbing my hand 

"thats sooo sweet, I remember that day" I said  

"how long have you liked me" he asked rubbing my hands 

"I've liked you sinceyou were 13, when I saw you playing foot ball and you took your helmet off and your head was full of sweat, and you shook your hair out,it made my heart flutter and also your eyes kind of stole my heart" I said moving closer to him and runing my hand threw his hair 

"I think I remember that night, and my eyes do kind of steel hearts" he said laughing and pecking me on the lips 

"I am happy you like me" I said softly threw the kiss and runing my fingers through his hair

"I am glad your my little secret" he said smilling and pulling away   

"so did you tell your parents about us hanging out" I said 

"I told my dad, he wasn't so sure of you and I you know "dating" he thinks I should tell Sadie and my mum said it was great that you and I are together, she said she knew all along that you and I liked each other, and she thinks we should tell Sadie when we fell its right, did you tell your parents" he said 

 "well thats good at least they aren't against us completly and my parents they think its good that I've found someone I like and they like me back but they just want us to tell Sadie soon cause they don't want to see our friendship wrecked" I said 

"It's hard not telling her isn't it" he asked pulling me in closer

"It is cause she's my best friend and I tell her everything, but I'm worried that if I tell her she will get mad" I said 

"well when we do tell her, if she does get mad and doesn't want to be your friend it won't change the way I feel about you" he said kissing me softly and pulling me in, it felt so good kissing him 

"It won't change they I feel about you too" I said through the kiss 

 "mhmm I have a question for you though" he asked pulling away

 "ya anything" I said 

"would you be my girlfriend" he asked with a sweet smile on his face 

"I would love to be your girlfirend" I siad leaning in and kissing him softly 

"perfect but I should probably go it's almost 11:15" he said getting up and reaching for my hand, I placed mine in his and we walked hand in hand to the front entrance 

"I had the best time tonight, thank you for coming over and asking me to be your girlfriend" I said smiling 

"no problem and thank you for saying yes" he said leaning in for a kiss, we pulled away and I opened the door 

"well you have a good night" I said 

"you too and I'll text you when I get home and I'll let you know about the whole Sadie thing" he said staniding on the front porch and smiling 

"good night" I said smiling and closing the door behind him, I leaned against the door bitting my bottom lip and smiling, this had to be one of the best nights of my life...
