when we finally got back to Sadie's, our face's were dripping with swet, it felt like a thousand degree's out, we had ran a total of 10K that was the most we had ever ran together, we chatted and walked the rest of the way from the corner to the drive way

"So my dad wants us to go craw fishing this weekend out out at miss kay and phils place, you up for it" Sadie said breathing heavely as as we made our way to her place

"you know me, if it involves craw fish I'm in" I said laughing and catching my breath as we made our way around the corner that turned into the drive way, and just as I looked up I saw John Luke shirt less working on his truck, he turned around and right away made eye cantact with me, I felt a slight blush rise to my cheeks, he smiled

"John Luke throw a shirt on, gosh" Sadie sheerked as she walked towards the house, I giggle and followed behind her in the house and into the kitchen, where we found Jep and Mr. R playing battle ships, while Jessica and Mrs.R cut fruit and veggies

"Hey girls, how was the run" Mrs. R asked looking up at us as we made our way to the fridge and grabbed water bottles

"Hot, Katelyn made me run 10K" Sadie said catching her breath and sipping her water

"As if, it was a joint agreement" I said laughing and sipping my water, Sadie just rolled her eyes

"well I'm going to go shower, and get ready than drive you home so you can do the same" Sadie said finishing her water

"It's ok I can just walk home, meet me at my place in lets say hour and a half" I said looking at the clock,

"Okay, I'll text you when I am on my way over" she said before running up the stairs, I heard her bed room door shut and the shower staring, when I looked up from picking my nails, I saw everyone was looking at me

"Um...I should...probably go" I said placing my empty water bottle on the island and walking over to the counter to pick up my phone when Mrs. R

"whoa katelyn, come here" she said I turned around facing her

"yes ma'am" I said looking at here, she had this kind of angry look

"you never told me how your date went" she said laughing , I let out a sigh of releaf

"um... pretty good we just stayed in, I cooked dinner and then we just watched Duck Dynasty on netflix" I said smiling from ear to ear, I felt a slight blush rush to my cheeks

"oh la la la who's this lucky many Katelyn" Jessica asked giggling as she cut the fruit

"I thought wille told you" Mrs. R said looking at Jessica kind of puzzled, Jessica shook her

"Katelyn and John Luke are sort of dating" Mrs. R said softly, Jessica's jaw dropped in shock

"Shut up" she said really loudly we all said shhhh at once, she covered her mouth

"How long have you two been going out" she asked quietly

"since Thursday" I said quietly

"Aww that's sooo sweet, Sadie must be thrilled" she said in a peppy voice

"Not exactly, she doesn't even know I had a crush on him, I... I mean we haven't told her yet" I said shyly

"Oh lord girl you better tell her soon before she finds out and get really mad at you for hiding it" Jessica said, I looked down at my phone picking at the case, I was about to say something as John Luke walked in

"Hey" he said walking over to the island and grabbing a carrot stick

"Hey you little stud muffin" jep said laughing, John Luke raised his eyebrows

"JEP" Jessica said in a stern voice

"Sorry, just stating the obvious" he said

"Um may I ask what's going on here" John Luke asked looking around at us

"They know" I said softly

"What do you mean" he asked looking deep into my eyes

"They know about us" I said looking down at my nails picking at the nail polish

"Oh so secrets out I guess" he said

"Yep, I better go home and get ready, thanks again for letting me leave my phone here and steal Sadie this morning" I said softly walking away

"I'll drive you home" John Luke said following me, I didn't answer but instead just made my way to his truck, he got in and started it, we drove to my house in silence, when we got to my place finally, I was about to get out when he stopped

"Katelyn wait, what's the matter you didn't talk the entire way here" he asked

"Nothing I am just really tired, when you he get back tell Sadie just to come to my place, we're just going to have a lazy afternoon before church tonight" I said hopping out and not waiting to hear what he had to say

When I finally got inside and shut the door behind me, I Leaned my back against the door and started crying, I could get what Jessica had said out of my head, I felt terrible almost like I was hurting mine and Sadie's relationship for hiding it, I felt like the worst friend in the entire world and the only way I knew to help myself was to cry my bloody heart out...
