I watched as the water poured down my front window and the light lit up my room, Sadie was out cold she had fallen a sleep talking none stop about her trip and all the stars, I got up and made my way down stairs to the kitchen, I turned the under cabinet lights on and made my way to the fridge

"Couldn't sleep either" I heard John Luke chuckle his voice was deep but groggy, I jumped back and shrieking

"John Luke you scared me" I said putting my hand on my chest and catching breath

"Sorry, I thought you would've heard me" he said walking past the other side of the island, he was wearing camo sleep pants and no shirt, he had wash board abs, perfectly toned arms,his hair was in messy array but he still looked like he had walked out of a GQ magazine, mean while I was in sports bra, my hunter hayes concert shirt, booty shorts, and a messy bun, it was awkward

"Thanks again for letting Sadie and I stay here" he said grabbing an apple from the bowl

"No problem, I am alone for a month so it's nice to have people stay with me" I not making much I contact with him

"So Sadie's been busy trying to set you up I hear" he said sitting on a chair in front of the island

"ya her judgement hasn't been that great lately though" I said giggling and cutting up carrots

"Join the club, she was trying her best to set me up the whole Los angles trip" he said laughing

"She wants everyone to be in love as much as her, her hearts in the right place" I said eating a carrot stick

"Ha just like when she set you up with the druggie" he said chuckling

"Ya that wasn't cool, he smelt gross and was a jerk" I said hopping in the counter, we sat in silence and watched the water flow down the window in large waves before I said something

"How you been since the break up" I asked looking at him, his face changed to sadness

"Ok, it's hard cause she was amazing until she called me saying she found another guy and wanted to break up" he said looking out the window not making eye contact with me

"I am sorry you guys broke up, it was a shock to me when Sadie told me" I said looking at him then out the window

"Well it was a shocker for me as well" he said finishing his apple, getting up and throwing it out

"Well like my mother likes to say it wasn't meant to be and look you can always find someone else who loves you just as much if not more" I said looking him in the eye, he nodded his head

"I better get back to bed" he said putting his hands in his pockets and walking away

"Ya better get up stairs before Sadie wakes and notices I am gone" I said throwing my food away, turning the lights off and following him out, we walk the stairs in silence

"Thanks for listening" he said before going into the guest room and closing the door behind him, I stood at my door in shock, when I finally got in sides Sadie was still sleeping, the rain was still rushing down my window, I closed the door and made my way to my bed, I crawled in and just laid there thinking about how he looked, the way he sounded, and the way he said goodnight, I don't think I can say I have a crush on him anymore I think it's turned to love...
