Bing "flight 764 from Los Angeles has landed" the lady over the intercom said in a soft voice, I watched as hundreds of people filled out of the doors waiting to see my best friend and her brother make their way towards me, it felt like forever by the time they made their way towards me

"Sadie" I shouted running over to her giving her a big hug

"Katelyn I've missed you so much" she said giving me a hug

"How was your flight" I asked pulling away

"Terrible, it was delayed and then there was a screaming baby sitting behind us" she said sounding exhausted

"Well lets go get y'all's bags and go back to my place" I said turning around and walking over to the baggage pick up

"What colours your luggage Sadie" John Luke asked picking up his bags

"Purple" she said grabbing two of her bags, he picked up her big bag and set it on the cart

"Ok we got everything" I asked looking at all the bags they had

"Yup" John Luke said checking his phone

"Ok let's go" I said turning around and walking out the doors

Park Katelyn gosh" John Luke complained as he pushed the cart

"Right here" I said smartly pointing to my new Cadillac escalade

"Wow Katelyn nice car" John Luke said

"Thanks it was a birthday gift from my parents" I said pushing the button that opened the back hatch for me

"Let me guess it's fully loaded" Sadie asked while placing her bags in

"Yup I guess it's a perk of being and only child" I said laughing and placing the last bag in

"So how long are your parents gone for" Sadie asked climbing into the car while John Luke put the cart back

"They're in Nashville till the 6th and then they're going to New York until the 28th so my mum can show her new fall fashion line" I said putting my key in the ignition and buckling up

"Wow that's along time" she said

"Ya but it gives me some alone time" I said looking in my rear view mirror, I watched John Luke walk back to the car, his muscles were so toned and perfect I couldn't stop looking

"Your still coming to miss Kay and papa Phil's place for forth of July, right" she said looking at me, it snapped me from my thoughts

"Ya totally" I said looking back as John Luke climbed in the back and buckled up, I pulled the truck out of park and backed up, Sadie talked the entire way to my house, I just smiled and nodded, but my attention was on the road and John Luke, he looked so lonely and exhausted

"Ok we're here" I said pulling into the drive way, I parked it and hopped out to grab the bags, I hit the hatch button and grabbed to suitcases and made my way to the door and unlocked it

"Wow I haven't been here since I was little" John Luke said looking around as he walked in the foyer

"Ya it's been a while hasn't it" I said putting the bags down and throwing my keys in the dish

"Where do you want our bags Katelyn" John Luke said looking around

"Oh just leave then here for now" I said walking over to the kitchen

"Katelyn do you have my carry on" Sadie yelled

"Ya it's on the floor in foyer" I said grabbing 3 glasses and pouring water in them

"Ok I found it" she said walking into the kitchen and grabbing a glass of water

"So what do you guys wanna do" I asked looking at my phone

"Eat, I am starving" Sadie said sitting on the counter

"Ok what would you like" I asked spinning my phone on the counter

"La belle France" she said in a peppy voice

"I left all the luggage in the foyer if that's ok" John Luke said walking into the kitchen

"Thanks, your sister wants la belle France for dinner" I said looking at him, he looked so exhausted it made me feel so sorry for him, I just couldn't help it

"Ya that's fine with me, I'll have my normal" he said sitting down at the table

"Ok Sadie you order and have it delivered please" I said

"Got it" she said walking over to the phone and dialling their number

"I am going to go take Sadie's luggage to my room and John Luke you'll be staying in the spare room next to mine" I said walking out of the kitchen, he nodded his head, as I walked past I saw him flipping through pictures of Emily, I broke my heart to see him hurting this much.
