Adriana
"Have a good rest of the day, Adri." My supervisor said as I headed for the door.
"Thank you." I smiled and pushed the door open, heading for the parking lot. I was so excited that I worked the morning shift, especially because I had the next two days off, and I planned to go home and sleep. Just until I had to get ready for Sam and Blake's game tonight with Aaliyah.
As soon as I pulled into my parking space, my cell phone began to ring. I smiled seeing Sam's name appear.
"Babyyyy!"
"Hey babe." He laughed. "How was work?"
"It was...work." I chuckled while closing my car door. "I'm so tired."
"I bet." He said into the phone.
"And I'm in pain a little."
"Awe."
"And I'm sleepy. And I'm hungry."
"Adri."
I laughed. "Sorry. I need you hear to feed me and massage my feet."
"Afta' my game, I'a give you a foot massage."
"And I'll give you a back massage." I replied. After his games, I usually helped him rest, giving him massages and fixing him food.
"Sounds like a plan, mama."
"Babe, did you remember to take off work for next weekend?"
"Fuck." He mumbled. "I'm textin' my boss right nah, a'ight?" He said, taking the phone down from his ear.
"I knew you forgot."
"I ain't mean to."
"It's okay, Sam." I said, plopping down on my couch.
Next weekend, we were going down to my grandparents' place to watch the house while they went out of town. They asked me to do it during my birthday dinner, and next weekend was the date planned. And like I asked, Sam would be coming with me.
