Chapter 16

Quick A/N: Hey guys! Sorry for the wait!! From now until I get my new laptop, I will have to update on my cell phone. Which isn't hard for me, it will just take some time to adjust to.

I hope you enjoy. Michael is in the MM. (Watch out in the comments, he's mine 😍😌✋🏿 lol)

Adriana

"Hey, Adri."

I looked up, seeing a student standing behind the check-out desk of the library. She greeted me as I walked in, and I smiled and said "hello" as I walked past to head to the tutoring section of the media center.

Winter break was over, and the New Year was in. Unlike the past three years, I bought 2016 in with my mother and brother. Even though I hate parties, Aaliyah would always find a way to drag me out of the house on New Years Eve. But since she was out of town, I thought I would stay with my family, in the house, and just relax.

I was back at home now. I had gotten the feeling of being a burden on my mother, so I went back to my apartment. It was a little lonely, and it would sure be something to adjust to not having someone there. Plus, I needed a quiet place to study, since exams were next week.

For the most part, I was getting back to my old self. School, work, the radio show, and tutoring was all I found myself doing, like I did before I met Sam. When we were together, I was out of the house a lot more, and I was more sociable. I didn't really change, but more so allowing another side of me to be shown.

"Hey, Adri." The girl from the front desk said, walking over to me as I sat my things on the table. "Only one person came in to sign-up for tutoring today. But she didn't indicate what time it would be that she would come in."

"Oh okay." I shrugged. "That's fine. Thanks."

"No problem."

On days I would tutor, whoever was at the front desk during the times I came in would come back to tell me if anyone signed up for tutoring with me, give their names, and what time they would come in. If no one signed up, I would still sit here and wait. I've had random people who studied my major come in without signing up. I guess it just all depends on that day.

About fifteen minutes after I came in, the student who signed up came over, and I began my session. Our studying didn't last long, and I was out before I knew it. And since the radio session didn't run the week before and the week of finals, I was just going to run by the store to pick up some things for dinner and head home.

While putting my things in the back of my car, my cell phone began to ring. Once I saw India's name on the screen, I picked up. "Hello?"

"Adri!"

"Yes?" I laughed.

"Tell me you are still on campus."

"I am, for the moment. What's up?" I asked, closing my back door to get in the front.

"Can you come to the basketball arena? It'll just be for a second."

"Uh, sure. I guess." I hesitated.

"Okay, thanks."

I hung up, and got in my car. I started it up before pulling off.

I had no idea what the reason could be for going there, but knowing India, this could be good.
