Chapter 6

This is your night with arms wide open.

Scared of the dark, the door's wide open.

Chapter 6 

Juliet's POV

It was an awkward silence for a while. I couldn't believe that the boy's actually bought that lie. I guess I must be good at lying or the boys are just plain stupid. I mean how could someone fall up the stairs, I guess someone who is really clumsy. Everyone was just standing around until Liz yelled up the stairs.

 "Juliet, I still need some help, Please come down stairs," Liz said.

The boys looked at me while I left. I headed out the door to the bathroom into my room. I went and finished changing before helping Liz. I try covering up the bruise more so Liz didn't see it. When I headed down stairs Liz was in the kitchen cooking. She smiled when she saw me coming in.

"So what do you think of the boys?" Liz asked.

"Well, Ashton is the only one who introduced himself," I said.

"That's Ashton for you, he is the more out going one," Liz tells me.

"Yeah I can tell, you said you need help?" I said.

"Oh yeah, will you help me set the table and then go get the twins and the boys," Liz said.

"Sure, I'd love to," I said.

I set the table now I'm off to find the twins. I look everywhere they're not in there rooms. That's weird, I'll get the boys first. I head to Luke's room and they were playing video games.

"Hey guys, lunch is ready," I said. "Luke have you seen the twins?"

"They might be in the tree house outside," Luke said, not looking up.

I headed back down stairs towards the back yard. I looked around and finally see a huge tree house. It was probably the biggest tree house I have ever seen. I wonder who built this? I know Liz couldn't do all this. I climb up the ladder and sure enough Jacob and Hannah were up there. They smiled at me when I came up there.

Jacob had his superheros and Hannah had her dolls. They had Lego's set up for house and stuff animals for pets. It was so cute, I remember the old days when Brad, Ryder and I would do this. Man do I miss them.

"Is this your guys' hide out?" I asked

"Usually, but Luke always finds us," Jacob said Hannah just keep quiet, I think she still trying to warm up to me, trust me I still trying to warm up to them.

"I might need to use this," I joked. "Come on guys time for lunch," I said.

 We all climb down and raced to the house Jacob won, us girls are slow. The boys were all around the table. The only open seat was between Luke and the guy with white/blond hair. I took the seat. The rest of the boys- Michael and Calum introduced themselves. Michael was by my right side and Calum sat across from me. These boys were pigs- they were done before I was, and I used to think I was a fast eater.

After Lunch we cleaned up the dishes. Then we went into the basement to hang out. I have never been in the basement yet, obviously I just got here yesterday. The basement was a huge as the first floor. It had a recording studio in the basement. They also had a game section. They had video games, air hockey, Ping pong. Man I think I love this house.

"Anyone up for a game of ping pong?!" Michael said in a really weird voice which made me laugh- again.

"Sure," I shrugged.

Weeks passed like this. Playing in the game room. Ashton's flirting. And Luke's weird stares.

Michael and I became friends fast. He kept  making me laugh this guy is so funny. I swear I could of peed my pants. Today the guys were at Michael's so I stayed home and did nothing.

I decide to find the twins to see what they want to do. I went into their room and sure enough they were in there. I told them to get there suits on. I was going to take them swimming.

I decide I should use the pool now while the boys are gone. I wont have to worry about them questioning my body and its bruises. They were fading though and most were on my waist and stomach from Brad gripping me to hard so my one piece would cover them. I am sure the twins will be too little to care or notice the fading ones on my arms. We are in the pool just hanging out. 

We were playing sharks and minnows. That's when I heard one of the boys voices. Oh no why did they have to come now. I ran out of the pool and Jacob looked at me weirdly.

"Juliet you just can't leave in the middle of the game," Jacob said.

I felt so bad. I grabbed my towel and wrapped it around me. The guys just came out. I rushed to the door then Ashton stopped me.

"Where are you going, Looks like you were playing a good game. Little unfair though." He said.

"Sorry, I'm getting cold," I quickly make up an excuse.

I didn't like the smirk on Ashton face. All the other boys where already in the pool.

"You're not leaving until you go swimming with me," Ashton said.

"I am really c...."  Ashton didn't let me finish my sentence he picked me up.

I started yelling and punching his back. He let me go by throwing me into the pool. Great. I pulled the towel close to my body even though it was sopping wet. No this is not happening. Just don't look into their eyes. Just don't look. I swam to the stairs and ran out.

"I said I was fucking cold." I spat, before running away.

Then I heard someone say "Nice going Ashton,"

Luke's POV

I can't believe Ashton did that. He should of just let her go in the house in the first place. But still everything was really suspicious about her.

I decided to go and check on her. I mean I am kind of like her brother. Even though I wish I was more then her brother. But I know if that happened it would just be weird. Still, I really hope she tells me the truth and doesn't lie to me like she does to the boys.

When I get to Juliet's door I can here her sniffling. Shoot, I hate it when people cry. Ashton is so stupid. I am going to get him for this even though he is one of my best friends.

I knock on the door.

"Go away," she says- still crying.

"Juliet, it's Luke let me in," I said.

I hear her get up and unlock the door, and walk back to her bed. When I walk in she is already in her pajamas. I sit down on her bed and start rubbing her back.

"Why did you lie?" I asked.

"What lie?" She said.

"Come on, I saw a bruise the very first day." I tell her.

She sighed. "It's complicated ok,"

She really didn't want to tell me. I wonder who would ever do this to her. She was so beautiful.

"You know you can tell me anything," I said.

"I know, thanks Luke, I'm going to go to bed," she turned away from me.

I told her goodnight, then headed out the door. The boys had left, I am sure Ashton didn't have any guts to come and talk to her after that. I think I heading to bed too, It been a long and confusing day.
