Chapter 15
Ashton's POV
Juliet asked Luke to fill Calum in. She didn't want to be there. When we left she grabbed my hand and pulled me out the door.
"You have your car right?" She asked looking around.
"Yeah." I said softly looking down at our intertwined fingers. This is where her hand belonged. I pulled her towards my car.
"Where do you want to go?" I asked her as she climbed in.
"Are we okay?" She suddenly asks.
"Yes." I answer.
"It didn't seem that way when you left yesterday. And then I really fucked up. So I have no idea why you're even still interested in me." She looked out her window.
"Do you like Luke?" I question. Not knowing if I want the answer.
"Yes." She pauses and my heart breaks. "But not as much as I like you. He'll always have a special place in my heart. But you have my heart." We both grin at her cheesy words.
"I can't lose you. I know that sounds so stupid. I've known you for like a week. But I feel this connection and I don't want to let you slip away. That's why I'm always so jealous. I want you." I tell her and I feel the heat rise to my cheeks. A blush falls across her face as well.
"You're the most perfect boy I've ever met." She tells me.
"You probably haven't met that many boys then." I joke.
"I haven't." She whispers.
"Why?" I ask her. Didn't she go to school?
"Yeah. I did." She tells me and I realize that I've been thinking out loud. "But my brother beat the shit out of anyone who talked to me. So they learned to stay away from the silent pretty girl in the corner. No body wanted me. No body wanted to fight for me." A silent tear fell down her face.
"I want you. I fought for you." I squeezed her hand.
"I know. That's why you're so perfect." She grinned, and I laughed. She looked into my eyes and when I couldn't fight it any longer I pressed my lips to hers. She smiled and kissed me back. She was just absolutely amazing. I pulled away and took a deep breath.
"Juliet will you be my girlfriend?" I asked nervously. She paused and my insides felt frozen.
"I thought you'd never ask." She wrapped her arms around my torso. I repeated her actions. I was so happy. We just held each other for awhile. Not needing to say anything.
"Do you want to do something or go somewhere?" I ask her.
Juliet's POV
"Michael's mom wants to properly meet me tonight so I don't think so... she gets home soon."
"Oh." His face falls and it makes me sad as well.
"Maybe I can come over to your house after though?" I try to make him smile again.
