Mark's POV

I walk past the stage. I was tired and had so much homework, so I was so relieved to finally be able to go home. Suddenly I hear a thud from the other side of the backstage door. It sounded like somebody fell or had been pushed up against a wall. Me being the most person I am, I quietly opened the door and stepped inside.

As I continued to walk I heard muffled yelling. I heard Jack's voice, and he sounded furious. He may be practicing a scene.

I smirked at the thought and continued to move forward. I wanted to see Jack acting and see how talented he was.

As I turned the corner, I got a whole different show.

"Don't you fucking DARE say anything about him!" Jack shouted at someone else.

"Then forget about everything!" Another voice spoke.

"If you whisper a word to ANYBODY I'll tell Allie!" Jack threatened.

"P-Please don't..." The person whimpered.

"What would your precious girlfriend say? The day before you started dating you slept with a girl and dropped her like that!" Jack spat.

"How the hell did you find out?!" The person cried out.

"Poor Jess has to give up the baby for adoption, you bitch!" I heard another thud. I brought myself to barely twist my head around the corner. Jack had pushed up another teen against the wall. The boy was drenched in salty tears, a large handprint across his face and the wind obviously knocked out of him.

"I didn't mean for this to happen..." The boy slipped down slightly. I was able to finally see his face. It was that douche Price, the big "popular" boy at the school.

"Then nobody has to know that it did." Jack's voice was softer, but just as harsh. "You keep your mouth shut, don't say shit about either of us, and move along. Got it?" His voice deteriorated to a sharp whisper. Price just whimpered and nodded. Jack let him go and the boy practically darted out onto the stage, jumping off and speeding towards the door. Jack's shoulders heaved, still bearing his teeth.

Suddenly I could see the monster again. He hurt people... He yelled at people... Would he do that to me?

Images ran through my head of Jack hurting me and yelling. The thoughts flooded my head, wrapping themselves around my neck and choking me. I felt my knees sway and my vision fade. Tears burned my eyes and I could feel my legs give out beneath me. Suddenly everything was black.

"M-Mark?"

----------

My vision slowly came back. My backpack was pushed aside and I was laying down in someone's lap.

"Mark! Oh, thank goodness..." Jack pulled me up and hugged me tightly. He gave out a relieved sigh and held me close.

I stayed silent. I tried to recall what had happened, but everything was gone.

"Are you okay?!" Jack lifted his face from my neck. His blue eyes were filled with worry, searching my face for any bad sign.

I remember Jack yelling at Prince. He hurt him. I suddenly remember visions of him being a monster and hurting me. Before I knew it tears slowly dripped out of my eyes, and Jack's eyes seemed to somehow widen even more.

He pulled me back up and hugged me again. He softly rubbed my back and kept me in his arms. I wrapped my arms around his waist and finally let go. I let my tears fall and drip down my cheeks onto his back. I sobbed loudly and hugged him tighter.

"Shhh..." He cooed. He let go of the hug and I leaned back slightly. I looked into his eyes as best I could with all the tears flooding my vision. He lifted his hand to my cheek and gently wiped the tears away with his thumb. "Shhh, it's okay." He whispered with a soft smile.

I sighed and lay my head back in his lap. He wiped away a few more stray tears. He ran his hands through my fluffy blue hair. He continued to play with my hair for a few minutes in silence until I had finally calmed down. Once I was calm I closed my eyes, enjoying the feeling of his hands in my hair. Finally he spoke.

"Are you ready to tell me what happened?" He whispered. I swallowed the lump in my throat.

"I-I saw you and Price. Y-You pushed him a-against the wall, a-and yelled at h-him." I whimpered out. "Y-You yelled at him a-and hurt him..." I sobbed out. Jack bit his lip.

"Oh Mark..." His voice cracked and he winced. "Y-You weren't supposed to see that."

"You wouldn't hurt me, w-would you?" I looked up at him, my eyes scared and begging.

He lifted me up once again and pulled me into a crushing hug. It was as if he was squeezing the life out of me.

"Mark! Don't you EVER think I'd hurt you!" He cried out. He was bawling into my shoulder. "No, Mark, Nonononono!" He said over and over.

After about 10 minutes we had both calmed down. I led Jack out to my car. I dropped him off at his house and drove down to mine, thinking about what had happened merely minutes ago.
