"Oh my god, Kelsey!" I heard Mackenzie yell as she barged into my room. I guess locks were made because of Brittney and Mackenzie. They both just can't knock before walking into a closed room. I tried to cover up my bites around her, I had made it a full week without her seeing it. I didn't want her to see it, to bad she already had or had someone tell her.
"What? Did your roommate finally burn down the place?" I asked as I brushed my hair into a side ponytail. I was trying to cover up the love bites that Alex had given me last night.
"Yes, well the kitchen anyway, but don't try to change the subject!"
"What subject? There wasn't one started. You just burst through my door, that's a hot topic. It's called I'm getting a new lock!"
"You've been saying that for years. I'm talking about the hickie on your neck! Actually, hickies according to my count, there are five!"
"There are four!" I corrected as I brushed my hair into place to hide the majority of the love bites.
"You counted?" Kenzie asked astonished.
"So?"
"Who gave those to you?"
"No one you need to know about! Go back to your boyfriend and leave me alone." I whined as Mackenzie started to investigate my love bites again.
"Matt won't mind coming in here to wait for me." Kenzie said turning the tables on me.
"You wouldn't dare!"
"I would."
"I still won't talk." I said defiantly as she called Matt into the room.
Matt sauntered into the room with a smirk on his face as his eyes landed on Kenzie. I could see the love he had for her in his eyes whenever they were together; I wish I had that. He took a few more steps and wrapped Kenzie protectively in his arms as he kissed her neck.
"What is it you need sweetheart?" Matt said jokingly as if he was her slave and never got any rest.
The poor baby, I thought as I remembered how Kenzie treated him. She put him before her every time. She would try her hardest to be at all of his soccer games and events, then when she couldn't she felt horrible. She cared about him so much, I just hoped that Matt knew how much she cared for him. It would be a pity if he didn't.
"Get Kelsey to tell me who gave her the hickies." Kenzie said with a laugh as Matt sat on my bed and brought her with him.
"Kelsey, who gave you the love bites?" Matt asked easily.
"I don't want to tell." I whined, giving him my best puppy dog pout.
"Okay, I tried." He said with a shrug as he held tighter onto Kenzie.
"That's it?" Kenzie asked, disappointed with the results of Matt's questioning.
"I can't make her talk. She can have a private life too Kenzie. When she's ready she will tell you."
"Fine." Kenzie said with a pout.
"So Matt, what are you doing here?" I asked, not to sound rude. Matt wasn't supposed to visit for a few more weeks. For some reason he decided at the last minute to come up last night while Kenzie was dealing with her pyro of a roommate.
"I'm here to see my adorably sweet girlfriend." He said as he nuzzled his face into her neck.
"You guys make me sick." I said as I held my hand over my mouth for emphasis.
"Well it's not just a social visit, Kelsey. I think we need to go outside to talk about this. That way we are away from prying ears." Matt said, making the conversation take a serious turn.
