"Caleb, let go! You're hurting me!" I cried as my hair felt like it was being pulled out at the roots.
"And you hurt me Kelsey. You think I wouldn't find out who the guy was on the phone? Did you think just because some judge signed a piece of paper could make me stay away from you?"
"It's supposed to!" I answered as he dropped me onto the coffee table, completely shattering the glass countertop.
I heard things crashing to the ground as Caleb started to throw anything around him. Lamps shattered and bar stools were broken with Caleb's rage. I glanced around to see skateboard decks broken and pictures of Alex and I were ripped and thrown all over the apartment.
"It won't! You're mine; we already covered this. You should get used to being with me forever!" Caleb yelled as he punched me in the face. I heard something crack before I felt the pain in my face.
Caleb's punches came quickly and unexpectedly as I tried to avoid them. I felt blows to my face, my chest and then to a few random parts like my spine and legs. I let out a scream as a loud crack pierced my ears. Tears slowly slipped from my eyes as I rolled on my back to alleviate the pain.
"That should teach you not to try this again Kelsey. Now let's go." Caleb growled as he grabbed onto my arm again. A loud scream escaped my lips at the pain that seized my arm at his sudden grasp.
"No! I won't go with you! I don't belong to you! I'm my own person and I got that piece of paper to keep you away from me. Alex and I are happy together and I never want to see you again!"
"You're with a teacher! He only wants a hot piece of young ass, you're mine and no math professor is going to take you. I just have to report him and then you'll be all mine again!"
"Even if I wasn't with Alex I wouldn't be with you!" I screamed as Caleb pulled his arm back and punched me in the face.
I fell backward, back into the heap of glass and cut my back open. I heard someone scream my name as the sound of things crashing reached my ears. My vision started to blur as two figures started to duke it out in the middle of the apartment.
I could hear screaming and cursing as more things crashed to the ground. I glanced up just in time to see someone slammed against the wall as individuals in blue outfits rushed into the room. My head leaned back as the yelling increased, and slowly my vision turned black.
"Call a bus." Someone ordered.
"Restrain him!" Another voice commanded.
"Kelsey, sweetheart, it's going to be okay." I heard Alex say, but I couldn't answer. As I tried I passed out and my world descended into black.

When I came to I glanced around the overly white room until my gaze landed on something familiar. I saw Alex lying in an uncomfortable position on my bed. His head was on the mattress while he was sitting in a chair. I smiled as my hand instinctively went towards his face. I always touched his cheek in the morning to wake him up because he always smiled; his smile was stunning.
"Morning handsome." I said quietly as he stirred.
"Morning gorgeous." He said lifting his head to show off the black eye and bruising on his face. Right now I wished I was a nursing major!
"Oh my god Alex! What happened?"
"Well Caleb and I got into a fight once I saw how injured you were. Let's just say I wish you had told me he seemed to wrestle in high school."
"And college." I added as Alex let out a groan.
"What happened after I blacked out?"
"Caleb was arrested and we rode to the hospital. I like your cast by the way." Alex said pointing to the white plaster now attached to my arm.
