We had spent two whole days at the beach and frankly I was starting to hate the beach. It was so public and girls wouldn't keep their hands to themselves around Alex. Everyone around here knew who he was, and he didn't look pleased by it. He said this is why he left; he was branded as the Kaynes' son and therefore was rich, even though he wasn't.

Girls were constantly all over him even though I was right next to him with his arm around me. They threw me dirty glares, tripped me and insulted me the entire time. So when Alex said we were going to the beach again, I put my foot down.

"We aren't going to that damn beach again Alex!" I said as I stood in front of him with my bathing suit on. I knew it would get his attention since it showed more than my underwear does.

"What's wrong with the beach? I get to see you show off that kick ass body all day."

"And I have to deal with jealous bitches that only want you for your money. I'm sick of it Alex, please can we do something else?" I realized that my voice came across as pleading, but I really didn't want to go through with that again.

The first day it was fun, after that it got old quickly. I would rather stay in the room all day than go back to that beach. We were never in this extraordinary house because we were

"Have you ever been snorkeling before?" He asked.

"No, why?"

"Because I think that's what we will do today instead."

"Are you saying I'm right?"

"I think you're slightly over reacting, but yes you are right. WE should do something else today. Yesterday was the last beach day of this trip." Alex promised as he threw a towel at my head.

"Where are we going snorkeling?"

"Well, first we have to get the boat. Then we go snorkeling!"

"Then where do we get the boat?" I asked as he gestured for me to follow him through the house.

"We own on, but first we need to make lunch. I don't want to have to come back because we are hungry." Alex said producing a picnic basket from behind the counter of the bar.

"You were planning this weren't you?"

"Of course. I hated what those girls were doing to you. So last night I planned everything out and we are going snorkeling." He said proudly as he led me toward the opposite side of the house, which backed up into the bay. "I have everything ready, including the gear and the meal."

"When did you do all this? When we got home from the beach yesterday you were all over me." I asked as he raced toward the dock, causing my white dress to billow in the breeze as he pulled me toward the boat.

"Because you fell asleep before me and then I set all this up."

"I fell asleep around two in the morning. Are you telling me you only have three hours of sleep?"

"More or less." He said nonchalantly as he took my hands so he could help me onto the boat.

"Alex, you shouldn't have none that."

"Well it's done, so get over it." Alex said with a smile as he started to untie the boat.

"Do you know how to drive a boat?" I asked curiously as I took a seat in the front of the boat. The seats were cushioned and really comfy.

"I kind of remember how to, but it's like riding a bike. I'll remember." He said confidently as he started the boat and slowly moved us out into open water.

"Where are we going?" I yelled over the roar of the engine.

"There is a bay about ten miles from here where the turtles stay."

"That sounds like fun." I said to myself as I looked out at the cast expansion of water in front of me. It made me feel small in the world, but brought a sense of comfort that I was away from anyone I knew in the world except for Alex.

He would always be there for me; I just knew it. Just like he had done today. I knew that he cared, but he wasn't sure what to do about those feelings. Maybe after this trip he would finally figure it out.

"We're here." Alex called as she shut the boat off and started moving around while I sat there, confused on what to do.

I watched as he threw the anchor overboard and then moved toward me. He had a smirk curling onto the edge of his lips as he stepped next to me. I lifted in eyebrow in curiosity as his hands came around my body. He lifted me effortlessly and threw me into the water.

"Alex!" I screamed as my body crashed into the water, completely ruining my dress.

The warm water surrounded me in a cocoon to bring a calming sensation over me. I stayed under for a while, enjoying the calmness of the water and the slow gentle movements of my dress and hair, but soon I needed air. I propelled myself easily to the surface to see a worried Alex who looked like he was going to jump in any moment.

"What's wrong?" I asked as he let go of a breath.

"You were down there a long time!"

"You're the one that put me in here!"

"I was worried you couldn't swim because you didn't come right back up."

"If you didn't think I could swim then why did you throw me in?" I asked curiously as I stripped out of my dress and threw it at him to put in the deck.

"I knew you could swim, but you didn't come up."

"I liked the water. Now give me the goggles and breathing tube, I want to see the fish." I said as he rolled his eyes and threw me a pair of goggles and the breathing tube.

"Do you realize how badly you scared me?" He asked as he put his goggles on and jumped into the water. I waited for him to resurface before I answered, but he didn't come back up.

I put my face in the water and saw him looking up at me with a smirk on his perfect lips. He had proven his point and he knew it, but I wasn't as worried as he was. I knew he was playing a joke on me so I swam on. A few seconds later I felt his hand clamp down on my ankle.

"Hey!" I shrieked.

"You swam away? That hurts my feelings Kelsey." Alex pouted as he pulled me back to him.

"I knew you were just trying to prove a point so I wasn't worried." I said as his hands wrapped around my body and my legs wrapped around his waist. His lips started to trace my jawline, instantly making me mold to his body as I wanted more.

"Don't scare me like that again Kelsey." He said simply as he unraveled from me and smiled softly.

"I can't give any promises on that." I said as I kissed him one last time before I swam away to see the different form of aquatic life.

I spent the rest of the day exploring and looking at life forms from turtles to starfish. Although, I spent most of the day smiling to myself; Brittney's plan was going beautifully. I could see Alex watching me protectively from wherever he was and I felt pride swell in my chest as I realized how much he cared for me. Little did I know just how much he cared for me, yet anyway.
