"Alex, what are you doing here?" I asked in shock as I opened the door to see my Math teacher standing outside my apartment door.
"I came to tell you that you have plans for break." He stated with a cocky smile curling onto the edge of his lips.
"Do I now?" I asked skeptically as I leaned against the door jam.
I hadn't seen Alex in days because I didn't want to go to class after seeing that girl all over him. I didn't care what he said, he hurt me and I wasn't ready to talk to him about that. Plus he couldn't possibly make me stay over break to finish some test right? Maybe he was here to rub it in my face where ever he was going, but there was literally two days until break and no way for him to make me stay here.
"You do and the plans are with me."
"What?"
"You don't seem excited about that Kelsey." Alex said slowly as his face fell. He was upset that I wasn't jumping around at his news.
"You almost got with some other girl, Alex. I'm sorry, but it hurt me more than you think." I said, letting venom drip from my words as I went to shut the door.
Alex stuck his foot in the door, preventing me from closing it as he lightly pushed the door open again. His eyes looked as if they were pleading with me to listen to him. I opened the door wide and let him in. Brittney had a late morning class today and was out so I didn't see the danger of it.
"Come on in Alex."
Alex didn't wait to be asked again, he walked in and then stopped right behind me. I shut the door and ran into his hard chest. He may be skinny, but the boy was fit. His clothes hid it well, but I had a strong inclination he spent a lot of time working out. Maybe riding a bike and swimming, I thought as I remembered his strong legs and arms from our sexual encounter.
"Kelsey, please just listen to me. Will you just listen and give me a chance?"
"You have one chance." I said as my back pressed against the door. I had to keep my distance because his scent was enough to draw me in.
"I didn't want that girl. You were teasing me all week—"
"Don't blame this on me!" I interrupted.
"You promised, just listen. I was going to give into you the second you came back for your water bottle. I knew you wouldn't go anywhere without it, so when you left it, I waited. That girl came onto me to help boost her grade, I couldn't get her out fast enough. Then you walked in and I knew it looked bad, but Kelsey you have to believe me, I was waiting for you."
"Even if you were Alex, do you have any idea what it looked like?"
"I do, but it wasn't what it looked like Kelsey. I'm trying to make it up to you. I want to show you that I feel something for you."
"By doing what? Avoiding me for weeks?"
"Coming from the girl that's been skipping my class?" Alex retorted, with a sudden lift of his eyebrow.
"You've skipped class and left early to avoid me. You also got me like ten different tutors!"
"Eight, and then I got Miss Marks to do it. I couldn't handle those guys getting to spend time with you when I couldn't. They couldn't keep their eyes or hands off of you either." Alex growled as jealousy roared through him.
"Jealous much?"
"Again coming from the girl that stormed out of the room when she thought another girl was going to kiss me."
"Coming from the guy that spilled his iced coffee on me to get me away from Jason."
"I don't even like iced coffee." He muttered as he leaned into me.
