Today was the day of Gia's baby shower. It turns out I was right of course, and she and Gabe are having a boy. As grandmother, I decided to plan the shower.

"Just put the cupcakes on the table" I instructed to Aniyah and Hailey. Since all the money that Gabe had gotten from the guard training went to their apartment, I had to get my teenage daughters to help me. Not that I'm complaining.
"Ok mom" they placed the cupcakes on the holder and fixed be table. As I was going over the guest list when I felt arms snake around my waist.
"You look so cute all focused" Devin said kissing my neck.
"Please not now. I really need to get this done" I said pecking his lips. He pouted and walked away.
"I'll remember this sweetheart" he said walking away.
"Yeah yeah" I faced the decorations and smiled.
My phone lit up showing a message.
"On our way"
"Ok ok everyone their almost here. Get in position" I put my clipboard away and waited for Gabe and Gia to walk out the door.
As soon as the door opened, we all screamed surprise.
Gia's POV
"Oh. I want to go to our bed and sleep" I said walking up the short steps of our apartment. The landlord was kind enough to let us have the downstairs apartment.
"Aww I thought you wanted to watch a movie or go out to dinner" Gabe said opening the door.
"I did but this baby is really making me tired" I rubbed my very big stomach and walked into the house.

"Surprise" I screamed and held my stomach. Everyone stopped and looked at me.
I took deep breaths and walked over to the chair that was in the middle of the living room.
"Don't do that guys" I yelled as I sat down. They laughed and the party continued.
To say my baby shower was boring would be a lie. We played pin the diaper on the baby, guess the poop ( it's when you melt chocolate in a diaper and you have to guess what chocolate it is ).
I grabbed the last gift that came from Gabriel.
"Oh baby you didn't have to get me anything" I said opening it. Inside laid a big box. I opened the box to see a medium box, then a small box. Finally I opened the small box to see a ring box.
"Oh my gosh"

"Oh my gosh is correct. Gabriel what..." before I could finish, he grabbed the box and got on one knee. My head started to turn and look around. This cannot be happening.
I put my hand over my mouth and I looked down at Gabe.
"Gia I have loved you since freshman year of high school. When I saw you walk in to the history I knew I want you to be my girlfriend. And now that I've finally got you and were able to bring such a beauty into the world. I want to know Giovanna Christine Valence, would you marry me"
"No no no not right now"
"Wait you won't marry me" he asks standing up.
"No my water just broke" I yelled trying to stand up.
"Oh my gosh. Dad can you get her bag it's in the room right at the door" both Leonardo and Devin ran to the room.
Gabe guided me to the car and helped me get situated.
"Don't worry baby, we're finally going to meet our child" he started the car and drove to the hospital. "We didn't even pick out a name, we don't even know the sex yet. We are not prepared"
I grabbed his knee as another contraction came.
"The last thing on my mind right now, is that we don't have a name and what then sex of the baby is. All I want right now, is to have it out of me"
"Alright alright" we pulled in to the hospital and got situated into a room quickly.
"Ah Miss. Valence, how are you"
Did he actually just ask this question.
"Just peachy doc"
"I'm sorry" he went to grab gloves and went to check on how dilated I was.
"Your too far for an epidural, so we're going to wait a couple of minutes ok"
I nodded and watched as he walked out the room.
Dumbass.
Irene's POV
I paced the hospital floor. I don't know why I'm being so nervous, it's just a baby, but Elle died giving birth. I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"She'll be ok" Leo whispered in my ear. I knew that voice anywhere. He guided me to the chairs and sat down next to me.
He handed me a cup of coffee and looked out into the distance.
"So the kids call him dad"
I knew it was coming. I just knew it.
"They've grown on to him yes, but this isn't about how you feel like you've been replaced. This is about how our grandchild is being born" I said before sipping my coffee.
"You're right"
We sat in an awkward silence and looked at the weird painting hospitals always had.
"Mom dad"
We turned to face Gabe holding not one but two babies.
"Oh my"
"Twins"
"Yup and you weren't wrong mom. There's a boy in the mix" he said showing my my grandson.
"I'm a grandmother to twins"
"Yup mom, dad, meet........"
