Irene's POV

I slugged my feet walking to Gabe's room. Yesterday was a long day. Not only did I find out that my ex husband was cheating on me, he was also engaged. I went through my morning routine. Leonardo's childish ways has even brought my kids mood down. Gabriel was mad, Hailey isn't her usual self. She hasn't spoken a word since last night. The same goes for Aniyah. Fabian had it the worst. He was still at that age where his father was his role model in life and seeing what he had done yesterday, probably made him double guess.

My thoughts were interrupted when the front door was opened and the sound of jingling keys filled the sad house.

Leo walked in smelling like he just walked through the perfume section in Macy's. He barred gifts and flowers.

"I brought you guys gifts to say I'm sorry"

"Yeah well we don't live off materialistic things" Hailey said getting up and walking to her room. Her pancakes were left untouched, as the other kids were too. They followed her upstairs. Gabe was the last one. He stood face to face with his father. He grabbed a gift and inspected it.

"You're gonna need a whole lot more than some dollar store gifts you thought off. You're gonna need a time machine and some dignity" he shoved the gift back into Leo's chest, bumped shoulders,  and walked up the stairs.

Leo looked at me and laughed, "that boy am I right" he handed my the flowers and I grabbed it and threw it in hot water.

"What are you doing your going to kill them"

"That should be the last of your worries" I pushed past him and headed to get the kids. I decide that missing one day of school for them wouldn't hurt.

"How do you guys feel coming to work with mommy" I asked all my kids. The nodded and took off their uniform.

I walked into my bedroom and saw Leo standing there with our son playing in background.

"You remember when this song was playing when I asked you to be my girlfriend. It was also playing when I asked you to marry me. It was also out first dance" he smile and reached for my hand. I pulled back and crossed them.
"Keep your distance"

"Come on. I never meant to hurt you. Ok. I love you" I rolled my eyes and shifted from foot to foot.

He then went down on his knees. "Please take me back we'll do therapy and all that other stuff, but don't end what we have"

"You seem to forget that you Leonardo Nachilli stepped out our marriage, twice and was engaged while also being married to someone already" I yelled pushing him off me. I walked to the closet. I grabbed three suitcases of my stuff and dumped everything inside.

"Where are you going" he asked crying.

"Away from you and please when the papers show up here, don't waste my time 2016 and please sign them" I walked to the kids room and told them to pack.

They did what they are told and followed my to the Range Rover and we drove to my parents.

It may be a while before I'm able to get back in my feet since I have no home.

"Mommy are we going to be ok" Fab asked as I pulled into my parents driveway.

"Of course baby"
