Irene's POV

Beep beep beep

It was September 10, 2016 and that meant time to work. Today was going to already be a hectic day. That meant the first day of school for the kids and that also meant a really fast business day at the salon. Usually moms came in and got their hair done for back to school night and etc.

I turned over to see if Leo was sleeping there but he wasn't as usual. I walked over to Gabe's room and woke him up. He's already in college but he was in charge in making sure I didn't loose my mind in the mornings.

"Gabe wake up" I said shaking his body. His curly hair that I always reminded him to wrap up when he slept was all over his face. Thank god I brought my handy dandy water spray.

Yes I'm that mother that sprayed her kids to get them ready for school. Hey when you find a method that works you use it till it stops. I moved his hair back and sprayed his face with the icy cold water.

He jumped and wiped his face.

"I'm up ok mom I'll go wake up Fabian" he said heading to his bathroom, I'm guessing to brush his teeth.

I walked to the girls room and woke up Hailey, my senior and Aniyah, my junior. I hated the fact that Fabian was born so late into Leo's and I relationship, but after everything that was going on, bringing in a child at THAT time would've been chaotic.

I jumped on Hailey's bed and began spraying her. She was the only person who took forever getting ready so she needed the worst treatment.

"WAKE UP EVERYONE TODAY'S A BIG DAY YEAH A BIG DAY" I said jumping up and down on her bed. I then took her head scarf off and rolled her out of bed.

She landed on the floor and crawled slowly to the bathroom. Now to plan my assault on Aniyah.

"Glad to see all my kids looking all pretty" I awed grabbing my camera. I positioned all my kids from oldest to youngest and snapped a picture. It's something that I've well me and Leo have been doing since the kids were all enrolled to kindergarten.

"Ok eat up or you'll be late I have to take a call" I said fixing my hair and calling my new security guard Devin.

A few months ago one of the customers at salon workers had gotten in a fight and Leo recommend I hire this man name Devin to work for me.

I've never met this man but I hear that he'll be good for the job and keep everything in check.

"Hello" I felt my heart skip a beat. Maybe even two. "Hellloo" he sang on the other line.

"Yes this is Irene Nachilli I was calling to make sure that you'll be able to come to the shop and get your schedule" I asked shifting from side to side. I'm hoping that he said yes. Mainly to see his face.

"Oh absolutely I'll be there in a hour or two tops" I smiled and replied with ok and hanged up. As soon as I turned around I saw all the kids looking at me.

"What" they shrugged and turned to eat their breakfast.

The kids knew about their father's mistake and even Gabe, Aniyah, and Hailey told me that I was stupid for taking him back. Their reason, he's barely around and I managed to raise the four of them just right.

"Fab, you can go watch cartoons" I said as he sipped his milk out of the bowl. They kids still had 25 minutes left before I have to drop them off.

"Get it off your chest and quietly your brother is in the living room" I said washing Fabian's bowl.

"Why are you still married to that boy" Gabe said.

"Yeah mom I mean you're practically a single mom raising four kids and running a business" Hailey said getting up and giving me her and Gabe's bowl.
