Chapter 18

(Christy's POV)

I wake up to the feeling of Adam kissing my forehead. I open my eyes to the sight of gorgeous hazel eyes, staring right back at me.

"Wake up, sleepyhead." Adam said with a cute smile.

It was then did I realize that we were still on the yacht. I smiled as I remembered last night's events.

"Morning. What time is it?" I asked looking around the room for a clock.

"It's 8:45." Adam replied, checking his phone.

If I'm correct, Adam's flight is at 10:30. He'll be headed to Indianapolis for the first stop of the Honda Civic Tour. I knew that we had to get our stuff and head back to shore or else he'd be late.

After a couple of minutes snuggling in bed, we got up to change back into our clothes from last night.

We headed to the top of the yacht to steer back to shore. Adam allowed me to try driving the boat with him assisting behind me. I had successfully steered back to the boat dock and Adam took over in parking the yacht.

We decided to head home to pick up the luggage and then drive to the airport.

I stayed in the car waiting for Adam as he got his luggage.

We arrived at the LAX airport and I could already see a group of paparazzi at one of the gates.

"Turn here." Adam said, pointing to the right as he noticed the group of paps.

I did as I was told and we pulled up in a small parking lot which was where their private jet was parked.

Adam got his luggage out of the trunk and walked over to my side to say our goodbyes. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he kissed my cheek.

"Remember your promise." I said.

"I will. Just remember to answer your phone when I call." He replied, chuckling.

"It's going to be hard, but we'll

do our best to try. I love you always." I said into his chest as we remained hugging each other.

"I love you too, babe." He said kissing me. "Remember that." He added looking into my eyes. I nodded and gave him one last long kiss before we were interrupted by James.

"Aww, aren't you guys cute." James said as he walked by us. I giggled as Adam rolled his eyes. "Oh and by the way, you guys have 5 more minutes." He said before walking away.

"He had to ruin the moment." Adam said sarcastically as he laughed.

"You better get going soon. I have to get to work." I said.

"Okay." Adam said, frowning like a little kid.

"Stay safe and have fun."

"Bye babe." He said giving me another kiss on the lips.

"Bye." I replied as he started to grab his luggage and headed for the plane.

I got into my car and headed straight to City of Hope. It was almost 10, so I had to hurry up. I couldn't be late on the first day of work. That would be really bad. I drove a little faster, but being extremely careful. Checking the clock every minute.

I finally arrived at the hospital at 10:52. I walked as quick as I could to the elevator and onto the 10th floor. I arrived at Ms. Jones's office and knocked on the wooden door.
