Chapter 2

-The next day-

I woke up at 9:00am and got up to get ready to go to work. I worked at a little bakery down my street called "Jenny's bakery". Jenny was the owner she was a friend of mines since high school.

I walked into the kitchen and grabbed 2 eggs from the fridge and cracked it open onto the pan. I

quickly ate my breakfast because it was already 9:30 and I was already running late. I got into

my car and drove carefully down the street.

I walked into the store and I saw Jenny. She was in the kitchen so she didn't see me walk in. I

saw a dozen of red roses on the front counter. I wonder who those are for. I walked in towards

the kitchen and I see Jenny preparing some cupcake batter.

"Hey Jenny, what are those roses doing in the front?" I asked.

"Oh yeah, someone guy came in and dropped it off this morning and said it was for you. He

didn't even leave a name or anything." She answered.

"okay thanks." I said wondering who it could be. I walked out of the kitchen and picked up the

bouquet of roses. I saw a note inside. I quickly took it out and put down the roses and opened it.

It read, 'Dear Christy, I was just wondering if you were free tonight. I have to tell you something

and maybe we can go get some dinner after? Call me when you have time (438) 632-9826 See

you tonight? :) -Adam'.

I was smiling after I read the note and I didn't even notice that Jenny was leaning on the kitchen

doorway staring at me.

"So, who is it from?" she asked.

"some guy..." I replied still smiling like a freak.

"Well, I know that! But what's his name?"

"Adam" I said."Hey, do you mind if I go outside and call someone for a minute?" I asked.

"Sure, just hurry up, you're already late for work!" she said as she walked back into the kitchen.

I walked outside and took out my phone and dialed his number. I waited for 5 seconds and he

picked up.

"Hello?" Adam said.

"Hi Adam, it's me, Christy." I said." So, thank you for the roses, it really pretty!"

"No problem. So, tonight?" He asked.

"yeah, I'm out of work at 5:30." I said.

" I'll pick you up at 6:30. I'll see you tonight." he said.

"Okay, bye." I hung up the phone. I walked back into the store wondering how does he know

where I live and where I work at. He must be a stalker I thought as I giggled inside my head.

The day went by really slow, I kept looking at the clock every 30 minutes. Finally, it was 5:30.

"Jenny, my shift is done! I'll see you tomorrow." I screamed as I walked out the front door.

"See ya." She screamed back.

I drove back to my apartment and quickly got ready. I showered within my record time and I put

on some makeup even though I rarely wear makeup. I checked my phone and it's already 6:25.

I walked into my room to pick out a shoe; I chose a casual boot to match with my outfit. My

phone rang and I scared the crap out of me. I picked p and Adam was already outside waiting for

me. I rushed out the door looking at myself one last time in the mirror.

"You look amazing tonight." Adam said as he looked up and down my body.

"You're not so bad yourself." I complimented him back.

We both got into his Porsche 365 and he started driving.

"Where are we going?" I asked breaking the silence.

"It's a surprise." He said with a smirk on his beautiful face. We drove off into the night in silence.

It seemed like we were driving in the middle of nowhere. I feel asleep on the drive there because

I was so tired from work today.
