Chapter 25

(Christy's POV)

7 months later...

My due date is in about a week and a half or so. I was getting really nervous. My doctor told me that I could be going into labor anytime. I would feel some pain when I'm contracting.

The past 7 months went by pretty fast. I gained about 24 pounds and I could barely even see my toes. My belly is getting really big and I can feel the baby kicking or moving around at times. I think I can say that I'm ready to get her out.

It still seems so surreal to believe that another human being is living inside of me right now.

Over the past months, Adam and I have been slowly planning parts of the wedding and we've been out shopping a lot for our baby girl. Adam still haven't told me the name that was on his mind. Although he gave me a hint. He said that it started with the letter 'K'. I kept begging him to tell me, but no luck. He said he wanted to keep it a surprise until the baby came.

Currently we were at IKEA looking for a crib and a changing table for our baby. We found one that we really liked and we were definitely going to get it.

We paid for it and placed the large boxes onto the cart and headed out the store.

"Babe, I have one question for you." Adam said as we were walking towards the car.

"What is it?" I asked as we started putting things into the back of Adam's car.

Adam stopped and turned to me, look directly into my eyes. "There's something I've been waiting to ask you. I think you'll agree, but I just want to make sure."

"Adam, what is it?" I replied.

"Will you move in with me? The baby is coming soon and I want the 3 of us to live together." He added.

"Of course I will. If it's for our girl. Yes."

"Great. You could sell the apartment and I'll help you move. And I have a room that's going to be perfect for her. I already have everything in mind. I think it's going to go well." Adam said as he continued placing the boxes into the car.

We arrived back at Adam's house and unloaded the car, moving the boxes into an empty room that was painted light green with pink polka dots.

"When did you do all this?" I asked, surprised.

"A few days ago when you went out to dinner with Natalie." Adam replied. "I wanted to surprise you." He added, grinning.

"Aww. Thanks, babe. You're the best." I said, giving him a kiss.

We started working on the baby's room, from building the changing table to decorating the crib. We chose a white wooden crib and decided to decorate it with small stuffed animals and baby toys.

I was folding the baby clothes when I felt a light pain on my lower back. Maybe I was standing too long. I sat down at the rocking chair by the bed and continued organizing the clothes.

Not even five minutes later and another pain surged through my body, only this time it was more painful.

"Ugh." I placed pressure on my belly area as the pain came again and again.

"Are you okay?" Adam asked as he went to my side.

"I think the baby is coming." I replied, looking into his eyes, breathing heavily.

"Uhm. Okay. Just stay calm. Uhh, let's get in the car right now." Adam replied. I could tell by his expression that he was nervous.

"Wait, let me go to the restroom." I said when I felt my pants getting a little wet. "I think my water broke." I added.
