Ch 3 Meeting the Sarge

Alexis, Jaden, and Syrus were walking around the school they saw a muscular boy who was standing around with a bunch of duel disks at his feet. Jaden asked the boy "why do you have so many duel disks that don't belong to you?" The boy said "I won them in duels against those who tried to beat me, so back off." Jaden said "I will duel you and if I win, then you give back the duel disks to their owners." The boy said "and if I win, I get your duel disk as well." Jaden smiled and said "I accept your challenge and now lets go outside to duel, if that is ok with you. Also, what is your name?" The boy said "Hassleberry, Sergeant Hassleberry ready for combat."

Jaden and Hassleberry readied their duel disks and said "duel." Jaden said "I will go first. My turn, I draw. I summon Elemental Hero Wildheart in defense mode (1600def)and throw down two face downs and end my turn." Hassleberry said "my turn, my draw. I special summon Gilasaurus in attack mode (1400atk) and now I sacrifice him to summon Dark Driceratops in attack mode (2400atk). Now Dark Driceratops attack and I forgot to mention that my monster has piercing damage ability toward monsters in defense mode."

Jaden lost 800 life points and Hassleberry ended his turn. Jaden said "my turn, I draw. I play Monster Recovery by discarding one card so I can bring back my Elemental Hero Wildheart. Now that Elemental Hero Necroshade is in my graveyard I don't need a sacrifice to summon an Elemental Hero. Now I can summon Elemental Hero Bladedge in attack mode (2600atk). Now, attack Dark Driceratops." Dark Driceratops was destroyed and Hassleberry lost 200 life points and Jaden ended his turn. Hassleberry said "my turn, I draw. I play Monster Reborn to bring back my Dark Driceratops in attack mode. Now I play the field spell Jurassic World. Now, all Dinosaurs get a three hundred point advantage. Now, Dark Driceratops attack Bladedge." Jaden lost 100 life points and Hassleberry was smiling at the fact that he had destroyed one of Jaden's strongest monsters.

Jaden said "my turn, I draw. I play Polymerization to fuse my Elemental Heros Wildheart and Avian to summon Elemental Hero Wild Wingman in attack mode (1900atk). Now I play the field spell Skyscraper and now all Elemental Heroes gain 1000 attack points when they battle with a monster that has more attack points. Now, I summon Elemental Hero Sparkman in attack mode (1600atk). Now, Wild Wingman attack Dark Driceratops. I now play De-Fusion to defuse Wild Wingman to have Wildheart and Avian on the field. Now all three of my monsters can attack you directly so that is game over."

The last of Hassleberry's life points went down to zero and Hassleberry went down on his knees and was angry and his eyes turned a different color. He then calmed down and Jaden, Alexis and Syrus walked up to Hassleberry. Jaden said "you are a good duelist but what you need to do is change or in this case evolve into a better duelist than before." Hassleberry understood what he was saying. Suddenly an announcement came over the school intercom. It was Crowler's voice and he said "Alexis Yuki report to my office at once." Alexis and Jaden looked at each other and then they went to Crowler's office and both Hassleberry and Syrus waited outside the office. Alexis and Jaden entered the office to find both Crowler and Bonaparte who was the new second in command of this school.

Bonaparte was surprised to see Jaden entering the room. Crowler said "well, nice to see that both of you are here. Alexis has been offered a job to duel and sing at the same time." Jaden was shocked to hear what Crowler said. Then Bonaparte said "we plan to have the person that wants to have Alexis duel and sing, duel Alexis so that Alexis will lose and be forced to go on tour." Jaden said "name the person because I am not letting my wife do anything that she doesn't want to do." Crowler said "you will be dueling Atticus and if you lose then Atticus will take Alexis and go on tour with her. If you lose then your dorm go's up in flames." Jaden was enraged and didn't have anything to say and left the room. Alexis said to Crowler and Bonaparte "you two are the worst."

Alexis chased down Jaden and pinned him against the wall. Alexis then kissed Jaden until he calmed down. Alexis then said "go and beat my brother. I don't want to be a pop singing star with him. I just want to be with you and that is all I ever wanted and that is the truth." Jaden smiled and said "once I beat your brother I will take care of you and keep you safe for the rest of our life."

Jaden and Alexis made their way to the main arena and saw Atticus making a grand entrence and Jaden was now determined to win and keep Alexis from living a life she didn't want to live. Jaden and Atticus started their duel disks and said "duel." Atticus said "I will got first and summon Panther Warrior in attack mode (2000atk)and end my turn." Jaden said "my turn, I draw. I will end this duel right now I play Pot of Greed to draw two cards. Next I will play Polymerization to fuse Avian, Bubbleman, and Sparkman to summon Elemental Hero Tempest. Now I play De-fusion to defuse my monster into three monsters and now I sacrifice them to summon The Winged Dragon of Ra. Almighty protector of the sun and sky, I beg of thee, please heed my cry. Transform thyself from orb of light and bring me victory in this fight. I beseech thee, grace our humble game. But first I shall...call out thy name, Winged Dragon of Ra!" Jaden smiled at the fact that he was able to summon Ra.

Jaden said " I give up all but one life point and give it to Ra (7299atk) and now I attack your panther Warrior with Ra's mighty blaze cannon." With that the duel was over and Jaden said "and that is game." At that moment Jaden was shocked by his duel disk and he fell to the floor and Alexis rushed to his side. Jaden said "Alexis it looks like I am fading, do me one thing." Alexis said "anything." Jaden said "keep yourself safe from anyone that would want me gone and keep the red dorm safe." Alexis said "I will, Jaden, I love you." With that Jaden went into a coma and Alexis started to cry. They moved his body to the nurses' office. Alexis stayed with Jaden till he would wake up. At the same time, a man was reading a card and said "it is time for Jaden to see the light."
