Ch 5 Hero vs Destiny

So Jaden, Alexis, Syrus, and the rest of the gang went to the Obelisk blue duel field and Jaden was ready for his toughest test yet. They entered the arena and saw the boy that was Aster Phoenix waiting to duel Jaden. Then Winged Kuriboh appeared on Jaden's shoulder and was making a happy noise that only he could hear. Jaden said "well, we meet at last, Aster I hope that you are ready because I got a new deck that will surely surprise you." Aster said "all I care about is winning this duel and taking that number one tittle away from you, so let duel."

Jaden and Aster started their duel disks and they were ready for a battle. Aster said "visitors first therefore I draw. I play Destiny Hero - Diamond Dude in defense mode (1600def) and activate his special ability. Once per turn I can reveal the top card of my deck and if it is a normal spell card I can use it next turn, by sending it to the graveyard. The card I just drew was Pot of Greed so I will use it next turn. I will throw down two face downs and end my turn." Jaden said "my turn, I draw. I play Foolish Burial to send one monster from my deck to my graveyard. Next I summon Neo- Spacian Air Hummingbird in defense mode (600def). Now I activate his special ability to gain five hundred life points for every card in your hand. So I gain 1500 life points. Now I play two face downs and end my turn."

Aster said "my turn, I draw. I now can use Pot of Greed to draw two new cards and now I summon Destiny Hero - Captain Tenacious in attack mode (800atk). Now I switch my Diamond Dude into attack mode (1400atk) and attack your Hummingbird." Jaden said "not so fast, I activate my trap Negate Attack which ends the battle faze so your attack is negated." Aster said "I end my turn." Jaden said "my turn, I draw. I play the spell card O-Oversoul to bring back the monster I sent to the graveyard. Now give a big welcome to Elemental Hero Neos in attack mode (2500atk). Now Neos, attack his Captain Tenacious." Aster said "I reveal my trap Draining Shield so now I gain life points equal to that of your attacking monster and the attack is blocked." Jaden said "I reveal my trap 7 Tools of the Bandit by giving up 1000 life points so I can negate your Draining Shield." Draining Shield was destroyed and now Neos continued his attack. Aster lost 1700 life points. Jaden said "I use Hummingbird's effect to gain life points from how many cards you are holding in your hand. I see that there are five cards in your hand so I gain 2500 life points." Jaden's total life points at this time were 7000. Jaden then said " I will end my turn with a face down."

Aster said "my turn, I draw. I activate Destiny Draw by discarding one Destiny Hero from my hand I can draw two cards. I play Monster Reborn to bring back the card I just sent to the grave. The card to be returned is Destiny - Hero Disk Commander in attack mode (300atk). Now I can use his ability seeing that he was summoned from the graveyard I can draw two cards. Now I normal summon Destiny Hero - Defender. Now I sacrifice them to special summon Destiny Hero - Dogma in attack mode (3400atk). Now attack his Neos." Jaden lost 1100 life points and his most powerful monster but he was having a great time dueling.

Aster ended his turn. Jaden said "my turn, I draw." Aster said "due to the effect of Dogma you lose half your life points. Jaden's life points went down to 3450. Jaden looked at his card and smiled. Jaden said "I play Winged Kuriboh in attack mode and end my turn." Aster looked at the monster and said "is that all the great Jaden Yuki can do? I guess that you were never a match for me. Dogma attack his Winged Kuriboh." Jaden said "I activate my face down Transcendent Wings by sending 1 Winged Kuriboh that I control and 2 cards from my hand to the Graveyard. I can special summon 1 Winged Kuriboh LV10 from my hand or deck. Now by giving up my Winged Kuriboh LV10 I can destroy all of your monsters and you take damage equal to the attack points of all the monsters combined."

Aster watched as Dogma was destroyed and Jaden had won the duel. Aster walked up to Jaden and accepted that he had lost. Aster said "Jaden I don't say this often but I am impressed by your skill. Now, I don't intend to lose again so enjoy this victory while it lasts." Jaden said "come on, we should work together to fight this evil that has come to this place." Aster said "what kind of evil?" Jaden said "one that controls the light and plans to use the light to destroy this world." Aster said "you sound like my manager. He talks about the light being a good force in cleansing the world of chaos and bringing order to all." Jaden said "he sounds like he may be controlled by the light but maybe he just wants peace in our time." Aster nodded and said "if you need anything that could help you, let me know. I will be on my yacht which will be parked in the docks area so you know were to find me." With that, Jaden and Aster went their separate ways. Now that Jaden had beaten and gained an ally he needed to be ready for the next challenge.

In a bright room Aster's manager, named Sartorius, was reading cards and seeing the future. He saw that Aster had been defeated when he predicted that Jaden would fall to Aster. Seeing this, he said "it seems that Jaden can change fate so I will look for a way to get him some how to see the light. Now, who should be my first target. Yes, Chazz. He will be the perfect person to transform the academy into the Society of Light. I must travel there and convert him so that I may have a servant to do the Lights' work. Now, I will let go of Jaden and his wife for a little time but after the field trip I will take her away from him and he will ether bow to me or fight to bring her back. Which ever one it is, he will fail in the attempt. For all of mankind will see the Light.
