Yu-gi-oh! GX Jaden and his love volume 2

Ch 12 GX Tournament

The next couple of days Jaden was in a depressed state because he had lost Alexis and in his mind she was gone for good. He realized that he could have prevented everything if he had taken on Chazz instead of Alexis. Jaden was angry that Alexis was now in the Society of Light, but he wasn't the one who challenged Chazz and now Alexis, the one person that made Jaden smile, was gone. Jaden was wondering if he should challenge Chazz to a duel to get revenge on him for brainwashing Alexis. But then the guilt ate him up because he could have saved her from joining them but did nothing.

In Crowler's office, Bonaparte was screaming "Crowler, Crowler, our biggest fear has come true." Crowler said "no, it can't be the faculty kitchen has run out of fondue?" Bonaparte said "it is worse. Chancellor Sheppard is back and he is headed this way." Crowler said out loud "if Sheppard stays then I will be demoted to Vice Chancellor." Bonaparte said "but I am the Vice Chancellor, you can't bid me farewell." Crowler said "watch me little man." Bonaparte said "I will tell Sheppard everything that you have done with the school." Crowler said "you wouldn't dare. I will tell Sheppard all of your shenanigans, like the new white dorm."

Sheppard said "what new white dorm?" Both Bonaparte and Crowler screamed "Chancellor Sheppard." Sheppard said "thanks Crowler for keeping my seat warm while I've been away. But what I want you to do is to gather all the students together because I have a very important announcement to make and it affects everyone." Crowler said "what did you say? Do you mean to do something in front of the entire student body or is this some sort of trick?" Sheppard said "no trick, now gather the students in the main arena."

The students of all the dorms gathered together and Jaden was happy to see that Sheppard was back. Sheppard said "judging by the look of the new clothes, a new white dorm is the top dog on campus." Sheppard glared at Crowler and Bonaparte and they both said "sorry."Then Sheppard said "I have a gift for all of you. I have come up with a new tournament called the GX tournament. You will each be given a medallion to keep with you and that it will be your ticket into the tournament."

Sheppard continued to say "the winner of the tournament will get one free wish and I will grant it to that person who wins the tournament." Jaden then smiled and thought that if he won the tournament then he could get Alexis back or maybe stop Sartorius from gaining what he wanted. Sheppard said "the tournament starts right now." Everyone left talking about what Sheppard had said. Jaden was smiling and was happy to see that the one thing that could help him had just appeared. For the first time since Alexis had been taken away, he was actually smiling.

Jaden, Syrus, and Hassleberry all wanted to duel but Syrus and Hassleberry backed off because they both wanted to stay in the tournament for a while. Jaden decided to take a walk so that he could clear his head before he started this tournament. Jaden then stumbled upon Sartorius dueling a man who claimed to have come for the Destiny Hero card. He also claimed to be a prince and that he was one of the wealthiest people in the world. Jaden watched as the prince lost before Sartorius' turn began. Jaden then began to worry that maybe he should give up. He had never seen someone win a duel without his opponent having a turn.

Jaden started to walk away when a bucket of water was poured  upon him. He looked to see who the assailant was. It was none other than Alexis. Jaden thought that maybe this was a joke or something but then he heard her say "Jaden I knew that you wouldn't be able to resist spying on me and that is so low." Jaden said "spying on you, I would never do that." Alexis said "yea and I bet you're the one who wrote those poems to me as well. I am telling Sheppard about this so be prepared to be expelled." Alexis grabbed his arm and dragged him away to the school.

Jaden then pulled away and said "what happened to you, Alexis? Where is the girl that I fell in love with?" Alexis said "I grew up. I never loved you and don't you forget it. Now get out of my life before I do something about it." Jaden's anger was growing and he said "I will always love you but you leave me no choice. I challenge you to a duel." Then a boy appeared in white dorm clothes and said "Alexis, I want to be your sweetheart."

Jaden and Alexis turned to see the boy and he continued to say "I will duel you, Jaden, to see who is the one who loves Alexis more." Alexis thought it through and said "Jaden, if you lose this duel then you join the white dorm. If you win, I will drop the whole mess of you spying on me." Jaden had no choice but to agree to the terms. The boy and Jaden said "duel". Jaden said "before I win, what is your name?" The boy said "Bob and don't you forget it."

Jaden and Bob started their duel disks and said "duel". Jaden said "my turn, I draw. I play Card of Demise. Now I get to draw five cards and if I don't use them in five turns I lose them all, but I will end this duel now. I play Graceful Charity to draw three cards, but I discard two. Now I play Monster Reborn to Bring back one of the most feared monsters in the game which is Slifer the Sky Dragon in attack mode (9000atk). Now I play the Quick Attack Magic card. Now my monster can attack right away. Now, go Slifer, attack with thunder force."

The duel was over and Jaden had proven that he could defeat anyone who stood in his way. He looked at Alexis, who was walking away, when he said "I will want to duel you soon, Alexis." Alexis smiled at this and continued to walk away. The new power for the world was about to clash and the Society of Light and the Heroes were going to fight for it. There was going to have to be a savior to free the minds of all of the students including Alexis.
