Ch 11 Zane's New Transformation

Zane was in disarray after the loss to Aster. He kept losing one duel after another. Zane thought long and hard about why he was losing. He decided that his appearance and attitude had to change. Zane decided to become cold and dark looking, but he knew that what he really wanted was power and the only way to get it was to crush those who opposed him. He changed his wardrobe to all black. Then he changed his personality to one that was cold and heartless, showing no respect for his cards or his opponent's. After that he began to win duel after duel but unfortunately each time he dueled he would injurer his opponent and he would show no remorse for harming him.

After a duel that he had won, he had all that he wanted but he still wanted more. The only person that had what he wanted was his old master, Sheppard. Zane was about to make a call when someone gave him a note which he read. It said 'Zane I know what you want and if you want it you have to meet me at the top of the world, in order to get it.' Zane smiled and he knew that what he was after was now almost within his grasp. He then traveled to the top of the world and found a temple which he entered.

In the temple a banner of Cyber End Dragon covered up a wall. He was greeted by the man who had trained him, here in this very room. Sheppard said "welcome back Zane, I hope that you have been doing well?" Zane said "I came here for one thing and one thing only. Where is it Sheppard?" Sheppard acted stupid and asked "what is it that you are looking for?" Zane said "don't act stupid, I came here for the Cyber Underworld Deck. Now hand it over before I make things difficult."

Sheppard said "no, the only way you are getting that deck is through me." Zane said "very well, once I win, I will take what is rightfully mine." Sheppard said "get your game on. You kids are still using that phrase right?" Zane said "I believe that only Jaden uses that phrase but he is a good duelist. But I didn't come here to answer your question, I came to get what is coming to me." Sheppard said "do you know how dangerous that deck is? It could end up hurting more people than even you have been hurting in your duels." Zane said "enough talk, let's duel."

Sheppard said "my turn, I draw. I play two cards face down and end my turn." Zane smiled and said "my turn, I draw. I play Future Fusion. I send my three Cyber Dragons to the Grave to fusion summon my mighty Cyber End Dragon in attack mode (4000atk). But seeing that I used Future Fusion I can't attack this turn." Sheppard said "I activate my face down Cyber Shadow Gardna. Now I can turn it into your Cyber End Dragon." Zane smiled and said "I play De-fusion to defuse my Cyber End Dragon into the three Dragons that formed it. Now that I did that, your Gardna turns into a Cyber Dragon not Cyber End Dragon. Now Cyber Dragon destroy that fake."

Both monsters were destroyed but then it left Sheppard wide open. Sheppard said "I play my face down Byroad Sacrifice to special summon Cyber Ogre from my hand in attack mode (1900atk)." Zane said "attack his Ogre, Cyber Dragon." Sheppard said "I activate my monster's effect by discarding one Ogre from my hand. I can negate your attack and add 2100 attack points to my Ogre on the field." Zane said "I end my turn with a face down."

Sheppard said "my turn, I draw." Zane said "I play my face down Attack Reflector Unit to tribute one of my Cyber Dragons. I can summon Cyber Barrier Dragon in attack mode (800atk)." Sheppard said "I play Monster Reincarnation to add Cyber Ogre from my graveyard to my hand by discarding one card. I then play one card face down and end my turn." Zane said "my turn, I draw. I summon Proto-Cyber Dragon in attack mode (1100atk). Now I activate the spell card Photon Generator Unit by giving up my Cyber Dragon and Proto Dragon to summon Cyber Laser Dragon in attack mode (2400atk). I activate Cyber Laser Dragon's effect to destroy a monster that has higher attack points than my Cyber Laser Dragon. In so doing, I will destroy your Cyber Ogre."

Sheppard said "I play my face down Scrap Fusion to remove your three Cyber Dragons to summon your mighty Cyber End Dragon." Zane said "I end my turn with a face down." Sheppard said "my turn, I draw. I play Pot of Greed to draw two cards. I summon Cyber Esper in attack mode (1200atk). Now, I attack your Cyber Barrier. Now your monster can negate my attack. Now, Cyber End Dragon attack and destroy Cyber Laser Dragon. With that, I play one card face down and end my turn."

Zane said "my turn, I draw." Sheppard said "since my Cyber Esper is in attack mode you have to show me every card in your hand." Zane showed his card and then activated Pot of Greed to draw two new cards and he showed them to Sheppard. Zane said "I activate my face down Lost Pride to send Creature Swap to the grave so I can add Scrap Fusion from your grave to my hand. Of course I lose 1000 life points for using Lost Pride (Zane's LP 1400). I now activate Ruthless Denial to send my Cyber Barrier Dragon to the grave to force you to send that Cyber Ogre to the graveyard. Now, I play Scrap Fusion to remove your two Ogres to fusion summon Cyber Ogre 2 in attack mode (2600atk). Now my monster gains 2000 attack points due to its ability. Now I use Limiter Removal to double its attack."

Sheppard watched in horror as Zane destroyed his favorite card just to win a duel. So the good Zane that respected his opponent and his cards was gone. Sheppard fell to the ground and Zane approached him. Zane said "I want what you owe me, Sheppard." Then the Banner of Cyber End Dragon fell, revealing the deck of the underworld. Zane took it and was about to leave. Sheppard said "Zane take this. This is a medal that will allow you to participate in my new tournament that is going to be thrown at Duel Academy." Sheppard threw the medal and Zane caught it. Zane said "I don't do tournaments. See you later." Sheppard said "it would be in your best interest, Zane." Zane said "maybe or maybe if I can try my new deck, I will compete in this so called tournament. See you around, Sheppard."
