Ch 17 The Lights Last Stand

Jaden said "my turn, I draw. I summon Elemental Hero Bubbleman in attack mode (800atk). Seeing that it was the only card on the field I get to draw two cards. Now I play Bubble Blaster and equip it to Bubbleman and I will end my turn." Sartorius said "my turn, I draw. I summon Arcana Force VII - The Chariot in attack mode (1700atk). Now I attack your Bubbleman." Jaden said "By destroying Bubble Blaster I take no damage and Bubbleman remains on the field." Sartorius said "I play Divination of Fate to summon Arcana Force VI - The Lovers in defense mode (1600def). I end my turn."

Jaden said "my turn, I draw. I play E - Emergency Call to add Elemental Hero Avian from my deck to my hand. I now play Double Fusion by paying 500 life points to fuse Avian and Burstinatrix to form Elemental Hero Flame Wingman. Now I fuse Flame Wingman and Sparkman to form Elemental Hero Shining Flare Wingman in attack mode (2500atk). Due to the effect of Flare Wingman my monster gains 300 attack points for each Elemental Hero in the graveyard. So now my monster's attack is 3700 attack points. Now I attack your Chariot. Now you lose life points equal to the monsters attack points destroyed. I now summon Neo-Spacian Air Hummingbird in defense mode (600def).Now I gain 500 life points for each card in your hand, due to Hummingbird's effect. Now I switch my Bubbleman to defense mode and end my turn."

 Sartorius said "my turn, I draw. I play Light Barrier and now the card begins to rotate. Seeing that it landed right side up all non-Arcana Force monsters' effects are negated. Due to the last two effects of Light Barrier, I can choose which effect to apply to his Arcana Force monsters without having to rotate them. Now if I destroy a monster or you destroy a monster the person who controls the destroying monster gains life points equal to that of the original attack points. I sacrifice my Lovers to summon Arcana Force XXI - The World in attack mode (3100atk). I now attack your Flare Wingman. Now the effect of Light Barrier activates and I gain life points equal to Flare Wingman's attack points. I will play one face down and end my turn."

Jaden said "my turn, I draw. I play R - Righteous Justice to destroy Light Barrier." Sartorius said "I play Emperor's Staff to prevent my cards destruction but you get to draw one card." Jaden drew his card and said "I summon Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin in defense mode (800def) and end my turn."

 Sartorius said "my turn, I draw. My Light Barrier rotates as it must be reconfirmed each turn. It landed right side up so the effect remains the same. I now summon Arcana Force IV - The Emperor in attack mode (1400atk). Now I use the effect of Light Barrier to give The Emperor its right side up effect. Now all Arcana Force monsters gain 500 attack points. Now The World attack and destroy Air Hummingbird and Emperor destroy Bubbleman. Gaining all the life points, I will end my turn."

Jaden said "my turn, I draw. I play one card face down and end my turn." Sartorius said "my turn, I draw. Because of Light Barrier it rotates and I know it will land right side up. I play Cup of Ace which also rotates upon activation. It landed right side up so now I can draw two cards. I play Arcanatic Doomscythe. Now if I destroy a monster on your field you take damage equal to the attack points of the monster that was destroyed. Now the Emperor will destroy your Dolphin. You take 600 points of damage. Now, The World attack Jaden directly."

Jaden said "not so fast, I play my face down Hero Signal to summon Elemental Hero Clayman in defense mode (2000def)." Sartorius attacked Clayman and Jaden lost 800 life points and Sartorius ended his turn. Jaden said "my turn, I draw. I play Pot of Greed to draw two cards and now I play O - Oversoul to summon Elemental Hero Sparkman from my graveyard in attack mode (1600atk). Now I play H - Heated Heart to increase the attack of Sparkman by 500 points. Sparkman attack and destroy The Emperor. I play one card face down and end my turn."

Sartorius said "my turn, I draw. Light Barrier rotates again and it lands upside down, so now its effects are negated until my turn again. The World destroy Sparkman." Jaden said "because you destroyed my monster, I play Hero Counterattack to force you to choose a card in my hand. If it is an Elemental Hero then I can summon it and destroy one of your monsters. But seeing that I only have one card in my hand that is your only choice and it is Elemental Hero Neos in attack mode (2500atk). Now The World is destroyed." Sartorius ended his turn.

Jaden said "my turn, I draw. I summon Neo-Spacian Glow Moss in attack mode. Now I use contact fusion to fuse Glow Moss and Neos to summon Elemental Hero Glow Neos in attack mode (2500atk). I now activate the effect of Glow Neos to destroy one card on the field and if it is a spell card, I can attack you directly and I choose Light Barrier. Glow Neos attack Sartorius directly. With that I will end my turn." During Jaden's end phase, Glow Neos returns to Jaden's Fusion Deck due to its first effect.

Sartorius said "my turn, I draw. I summon Arcana Force I - The Magician in attack mode (1100atk). It now rotates and it will land right side up. I was right and now the attack of my monster will double if you use a spell card.  Magician attack him directly, I play two cards face down and end my turn." Jaden said "my turn, I draw. I play Hero Flash to remove H - Hearted Heart, E - Emergency Call, R - Righteous Justice and O - Oversoul from my grave in order to special summon Elemental Hero Neos in attack mode (2500atk). Now your monster doubles its attack points but because I used Hero Flash, I can attack you directly. With that I will end my turn."

Sartorius said "my turn, I draw. I play Magician's Scales to tribute The Magician and it allows me to add The Sky Lord from my deck. I play my face down The Material Lord. I now play The Spiritual Lord, and I play The Sky Lord. By sending them to the grave I can summon Arcana Force EX - The Light Ruler in attack mode (4000atk). Now my monster rotates and it will land right side up. Now if I destroy a monster in battle and send it to the grave, I can select a card from my grave and add it to my hand. Now destroy Neos." Sartorius then gains a card back and chooses Light Barrier.

Jaden said "my turn, I draw. I play Fifth Hope to return Elementals Heros Avian, Burstinatrix, Clayman, Bubbleman, and Sparkman from my grave and return them to my deck and I get to draw three cards. I play the field spell Neo Space. Now I summon Grand Mole in attack mode (900atk). I play Silent Doom to summon back Neos. I now will use contact fusion to fuse Grand Mole and Neos to summon Elemental Hero Grand Neos in attack mode (2500atk). Now because of Neo Space my monster gains 500 attack points. I activate effect of Grand Neos to return The Light Ruler to your hand."

Sartorius said "not so fast, I play my face down Reversal of Fate to reverse the direction of The Light Ruler to upside down. Now your monster is destroyed and your card is negated and my monster loses 1000 attack points in doing so. But you are allowed to draw one card." Jaden said "I play Reverse of Neos to special summon Elemental Hero Neos from my deck and now because I summoned Neos by Reverse of Neos my monster gains 1000 attack points. Because we are in Neo Space. Neos gains 500 attack points. Neos attack the Light Ruler and end this madness.

The duel ended and the light was gone from the world. Jaden and the rest of the gang left so that Aster could talk with Sartorius. Jaden then heard that Chazz had won the GX tournament. They approached Chazz and everyone in the area looked at Jaden. Chazz had said that he was not the winner but Jaden was. Sheppard said "our first GX tournament winner is Jaden. As per the rules, you get one wish that I can grant." Jaden thought about it and looked at Alexis and came up with a great idea. Jaden said "can you build me and Alexis a house to live in during our next two years here." Sheppard said "if that is what you wish than who am I to deny this. It will be ready for you when you come back, ok?" Sheppard then announced "school is out and you all can go and enjoy the summer at home. The boats are coming now." Everyone was so happy to end school early and they left the island, not knowing that another evil force was coming.
