Ch 7 The Light Has Come

Days went by and no drama had come to the island. Jaden could sense that something evil was coming and that he should prepare. He felt that this was the calm before the storm. What Jaden wanted to know was what evil could possibly destroy what he had worked so hard to keep alive. What Alexis wanted was to have Jaden relax. She decided that she and Jaden should go to the cliffs. Jaden agreed to go if they would have dinner there, together. Jaden made some sandwiches so that they could eat them when they were at the cliffs.

Alexis and Jaden were at the cliffs enjoying each others' company when Chazz showed up. He was the one person that could make a date or a good time together go sour. Chazz said "hey slacker, why don't you duel me now so we can figure out which one of us is the best boy duelist in this school." Jaden said "sure, I never back down from a challenge and I want to show off some new fusion cards that I have." Alexis smiled at the fact that Jaden was being his old and loving dueling spirit self.

Jaden and Chazz started their duel disks, which Jaden had on him, and they said "duel." Jaden said "I will go first, I draw. I summon Neo Spacian Air Hummingbird in defense mode (600def). Next, I play the Polymerization to fuse Elemental Heroes Bladedge and Wildheart to form Elemental Hero Wildedge in attack mode (2600atk). Next, I use Air Hummingbird's effect to gain 500 life points for each card in your hand and I count five. I end my turn with one card face down." Chazz said "about time, I draw. Now, I play Pot of Greed to draw two cards. Next, I summon Masked Dragon in defense mode (1100def). Now I play the spell card Double Summon and I sacrifice my Masked Dragon so summon Armed Dragon LV 5 in attack mode (2400atk). Now I will destroy that pesky Hummingbird of yours."

Chazz's dragon attacked but Jaden smiled and said "I activate my trap Draining Shield. Now your attack is stopped and I gain life points equal to the attack of the monster that made the attack." So Jaden's life points went up again and now he had 8900 life points. Chazz ended his turn. Jaden was up. Jaden said "my turn, I draw. I play Pot of Greed to draw two cards. Now I play De-Fusion to de-fuse my Wildedge into Wildheart and Bladedge. Now I sacrifice both Air Hummingbird and Wildheart so that I can summon out the Blue Eyes White Dragon in attack mode (3000atk). Now, Bladedge carve up that Armed Dragon of his." Chazz took 200 points of damage. Jaden said "Blue Eyes attack him directly with White Lightning." Chazz lost 3000 life points and only had 800 life points remaining.

Chazz said "my turn, I draw. I play Card of Sanctity so now we both can draw till we have six cards in our hands. Next I play Monster Reborn to bring back Armed Dragon LV 5 and I play the spell card LV Up by getting rid of my Armed Dragon LV 5. I will summon Armed Dragon LV7 in attack mode (2800atk). Now, Armed Dragon attack Bladedge." Jaden lost 200 life points but that didn't make a big dent in his life points at all. Jaden said "my turn, I draw. Chazz you have played a great match but it is time to end this. I play Polymerization to fuse the Blue Eyes on my field with the two in my hand to form the Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon in attack mode (4500atk)."

Chazz watched as the legendary monster of Seto Kaiba formed into one of the strongest monsters in the game. Jaden said "Blue Eyes attack his Armed Dragon." With that the duel was over and Jaden was the victor and Chazz was down on one knee. He was angry that the Slifer slacker had beaten him again. Jaden said to Chazz "that was a great duel, Chazz. Just keep practicing and maybe one day you will be able to defeat me or maybe Alexis." Alexis shook her head. She would not allow herself to be defeated by the likes of Chazz.

Chazz walked off into the forest not knowing that Sartorius, Aster's manger, had come to this island in search of someone to do his bidding. Jaden and Alexis went back to what they were doing. They talked about what this evil that was coming for the school. Chazz was walking deeper into the forest and he ran into someone and was surprised that someone was out here this late at night. Chazz said "who are you and what are you doing out here so late at night." The man said "well, if it isn't Chazz Princeton. I have been expecting you." Chazz said "what are you talking about? Did you know that I would come this way?" The man said "yes, my name is Sartorius and I am Aster Phoenix's manager and I wanted to see your talents for myself."

Chazz said "fine, once I beat you I can become stronger and then become strong enough to defeat Jaden." Chazz and Sartorius started their duel disks and dueled. Chazz was winning but then Sartorius  turned the tables on Chazz and beat him. Sartorius said "don't you want to be stronger? If you, do then give yourself over to the light and only then will you have the power to bring Jaden to his knees." Chazz said "how do I do this I want to see the light so that I can put Jaden in his place and take everything that he holds dear away from him." Sartorius smiled and said "take this deck and give yourself over to the light." Chazz did as he was told and then he changed into someone that belived in the power of the light. Chazz was given a new coat to wear and now he was wearing a coat with the one color that could resemble the light, white. Sartorius smiled at his new servant and now he had his sights set on a new target the, Obelisk Blue Dorm.
