We finally drove up to the beach
and boy I was excited. Tonight is the full moon festival and let me tell you ,The royal Merchefs cook great food.

We were just on the outskirts of the palace,When I saw it.
The north Australian current.
I've heard dad tell me and nats about this current from when we were little girls and here was my chance to ride it.

Dad and I swam ahead ,But I stopped at the entrance when mom stopped swimming.
I turned around and swam up to her.

"What's wrong mom? you've always loved the current."
Mom sighed.
"Its not that I don't love it anymore, I'm just afraid I'll lose the baby......"

It was true . many pregnant mermaids went through the current and lost their babies.
I quickly came up with an idea.

"Stop talking nonsense mom! I'll control the water and let you swim through.
"thank you midnight."

I swam into the current,feeling the rush of water against my skin. I did about two back flips, enjoying myself.

Focus midnight, Your mom is pregnant with your sibling.
I reached for my power from within,and stabilized the current.

Then I gestured for mom to swim through . Mom swam through it gracefully,with no pressure at all.
I smiled.
Anything to make my mom happy
I thought.

As she was finished,I relaxed
my powers and just let the current slap me around like I was surfing.

I was sitting at the Royal dining table, About to reach for some sea berries,when dad shocked me with a tiny lightening bolt.

I winced at sudden sting ,when my pinky finger became numb.
"Wait until Brother blesses the food." And by Brother he means That The king is my uncle.
Which means that yes,I'm royalty.

But you see, Even royalty has its drawbacks. For instance,what just happed to me.
"Thank you Poseidon for this food,amen."
said uncle tanzen. Finally he's done .

I stare at my food choices.
After a minute or two, I start grabbing food off the platters provided. As soon as I was finished I looked onto plate and looked at what I had picked up.

Two seaweed rolls, Four slices of sandtoast, a bunch of red and white sea berries and A large chunk of coral cake ,and this might gross you out, but last but not least a cool glass of blood.

Hey can't Judge a book by its cover right? I was almost finished eating when mom threw up.
Trust me, if you want to know what a pregnant mermaids vomit looks like, don't ask me Because I won't tell You, its nasty.

Uncle Tanzen dismissed lunch And everyone swam off to their respective rooms.
As I was swimming through the hall,admiring the intricate patterns on the wall ,I heard a familiar voice .

No,it couldn't be........
I spun around the corner and saw the speaker .
Adrian.
"Midnight ,is that you?"
I hesitated for a while.
"yes it is me"

He gets up from where he was sitting And envelopes me into a hug ,a really manly tight hug.
"You're squeezing me ." I whisper.

"Sorry your majesty"
"Don't call me that, it sounds...evil."
"I humbly apologize princess Midnight"
"Why do you always ,ugh!"

"I love you."
I grab his body closer to me ,his red and orange hair flaring about in the water,contrasting against my blue hair.

I run my hands through his hair ,which felt like silk and whispered into his ear,
" I love you too"

Then I kissed Him.
