I looked through my bedroom window and I saw Adrian's shiny blue mustang pull up on the curb. Butterflies erupted like a tornado in my stomach.

As I saw Adrian come out of the car and approach my doorstep. I was prepared to tell Adrian
the biggest secret of my life.

I took the advice of nats in our conversation earlier.

"girl you gotta to tell him your secret"
"no"
"he's gonna to freak if he finds out from another source"
"ok,ok,I'll call him today"
"you better" she said in a motherly tone.
"yes mom" I replied sarcastically.

A soft knock at my bedroom door interrupted my thoughts .
"Midnight? Adrian's deep voice said.

"I'm in here " I said slumping on my bed.
He walked in.
" what did you have to tell me ?"
"well, this might sound crazy but-"
"love is crazy darling."

Adrian said while brushing back a few stray strands out of my face.

you might not love me after this though

I thought.

"Adrian I'm a mermaid"
I said finally.

No expression covered his face instead,he looked like he understood.

"D..d.do you still love me?"
I stammered.
"Baby, I will love love you till I die no matter if you're a mermaid of not." Adrian said said softly .

"and also ,"he said smiling ," I'm one too.
"Wanna go blow off some steam?" he said .
"Sure "

And with that, I grabbed my phone and keys and left my parents a note that I was gone and I'd be back for dinner.

The car ride was in total silence .

Adrian is a merman
I thought.

of course he is .

"um midnight,"
"yeah" I said glancing up at him.
"I have something to tell...rather show you " he said while smiling at me .

I looked through the window and saw that we were at the beach.

We walked along the shoreline and then he finally said:
"wanna swim to the moon pool?"
"sure" I said and we stripped into swimming clothes and dived in.

As soon as Adrian touched the water he transformed into a merman. I gasped in utter shock as a course of bubbles came from my mouth.

As he stood there grinning .His hair morphed from jet black to firey orange with red hilights and he was also bare-chested (and he had some very sexy abs)and his tail was the same color of his hair and his eyes were sea green.

"race ya to the moon pool"
I said using my telepathy powers.
"sure"
he said back.
"and by the way,"
he continued,
"you'll never win "
And with that,we sped off into the ocean depths.
