s u m m a r y ; today is your daughter's first day at school. btw, i named your daughter Jasmine

The alarm went off right at 7am, the time you set it last night, before you had crawled into bed with your husband.

Groaning, you roll over onto your side, your hand reaching out to stop the loud blaring. When it stops, you take the time to open your eyes. The ceiling of your house comes into view, and you start hearing shuffling from beside you.

Justin had scooted over, and was now directly beside you. His light snoring making you smile.

Then, you remembered. . .

Today was Jasmine's first day at school. The smile on your face grew even more, as you picture your daughter's happy face. She had been excited over the pass few days about finally enrolling in school.

She was more than ready to go to school and make friends.

You sigh, and turn towards your asleep husband. You admire him for a quick moment, before you bend down to peck his nose. At your sudden touch, Justin scrunched up his nose, and creased his eyebrows.

You giggled, and watched as he had awoken from his sleep. Justin opened his eyes to look at you, a big smile on his face.

"Today's the day," Justin whispered, grabbing your hand to place a kiss there. You nodded at him, knowing exactly what he meant. "Yup, let's go get her up," You said, getting out of the bed, a yawn leaving through your lips.

Justin pulled on some jogging pants, and followed you to the pink door down the hallway. Jasmine stood out in hot pink letters on the door. You both approach the door, big smiles painted on your faces.

Walking inside the Disney Princess inspired room, you could hear the soft snoring your daughter had gotten from her father.

There laid your daughter, in her pink bed. Justin stands beside you, grabbing your hand. "Look at her, isn't she something?" Justin asked, rubbing his thumb over my hand. "She's our everything," You say, letting go of Justin's hand to kneel in front of Jasmine.

"Jasmine, honey," You hushed, rubbing her clothed back. Like her dad, Jasmine shuffled in her spot, her eyebrows creasing at the contact. A hum left your daughter's lip, as if asking what you needed.

"Jassy, wake up," You said to her, gliding you hand over her back. Jasmine recognizing your voice, slowly, opens her hazel eyes to see you.

"Mommy?" Jasmine questions you, leaning forward into your face. You laugh at her, nodding a yes. Justin also chuckles, making Jasmine flicker her eyes at him.

"Daddy?" Jasmine perks up, her eyebrows raising. Justin only laughs again. Jasmine squeals like the daddy's girl she is. She rushes past you to Justin, which doesn't hurt you at all. She's always been a daddy's girl. . .

"Hey, my lil princess," Justin greets her kneeling down at Jasmine's height. Jasmine beams at him, as Justin grabs her caramel cheeks and plants a big kiss to her forehead. You stand back to enjoy the view of your family.

"Daddy? Today do I get to go to school!?" Jasmine is quick to ask, nearly jumping in her dad's arms. "Yes, princess," Justin cracks a smile, waiting for her reaction.

"Yesss!" Jasmine shouts, breaking free from her dad to jump around her room in triumph. You and Justin laugh at her, as she enjoys herself. "I get to go to school!" Jasmine chants, fist pumping her way around the room.

As much as you love to see your daughter happy, you had to be on time.

"Jassy!" You say, catching your daughter's attention. She slows, giving you the puppy eyes. "Yes, mommy?" Jasmine says, playing with her small fingers. "You need to get ready for school," You tell her, walking towards her.

She nods, as you reach for her hand. You take her to the bathroom. You bathe her, clothe her and groom her to best of your abilities.

After you finish that, you and Jasmine find Justin in the kitchen making breakfast.

"Smells good, babe," You say, putting Jasmine in her chair at the table. She sits, patiencely, her eyes watching you two interact with each other.

"I know," Justin leaves the eggs on the stove before he moves to you and kisses your lips. You smile into it, reaching up to graze his jaw. He breaks the kiss, and goes back to the breakfast.

You sit beside your daughter, and wait for Justin to finish cooking.

About five minutes after having an interesting conversation with Jasmine, Justin claims that breakfast is ready.

All three of you eat, talking amongst each other.

"Okay, Jassy, this is the place," You say, looking back to look at Jasmine, who chilled in her car seat. Jasmine leaned forward out of her seat, her eyes almost bulging out of her head.

"That's my school?!" Jasmine exclaimed, excitedly. "Yeah, princess," Justin said, putting the car in park in front of the school building.

The three of you walk inside, and stand outside of your daughter's class. You and Justin kneel in front of her.

"Okay, princess, this is the day you've been waiting for," Justin winked at Jasmine playfulness, making her giggle out loud. "Yeah, Jassy, and mommy want's you to be good and have fun," You say, grabbing her cheeks and pressing a kiss to her nose.

Jasmine smiles, broadly at you. She grabs your cheeks back. Her lips press onto your nose, making you 'aww'. Justin was next, as he stood up and bent down to plant a peck on the top of her head. Jasmine kisses Justin's cheek before skipping into the classroom.

You sigh, standing up to face your husband. You two smile at each other, before heading home. . .
